🌿✨ Reflections by the River, Five and half Decades of Life ✨🌿
As I stood overlooking the river winding its way through the mountains, I found myself pausing — not just to admire the breathtaking beauty of nature, but to truly reflect on the winding river of my own life. Five and half decades. Half a century of breaths, journeys, lessons, and silent prayers whispered into the universe.
Like the river below, my life has never been a straight path. It has curved, twisted, rushed, and at times slowed into still pools of waiting. There were moments when the current carried me with ease, and others when I felt like I was swimming upstream, uncertain if I would ever find my way. But every bend, every rock, every rapid has shaped me into the man I am today.
Looking at the vastness of these mountains, I am reminded that time is both fleeting and eternal. The mountains stand — ancient, unmoved, a witness to generations. And yet, here I am, just a traveler passing through, trying to leave footprints of meaning in the sands of my days.
Life in these five decades has been a teacher of contrasts. I have known joy that filled my soul with light and sorrow that broke me into silence. I have walked through successes that gave me wings and failures that humbled me to my knees. I have loved, lost, found, and loved again. Through it all, one truth has remained — that growth comes not from resisting life, but from embracing its flow.
At this milestone, I don’t ask for more years. I ask for depth in the years that remain. To live more present. To love more freely. To forgive quicker. To let go of burdens that never belonged to me. To keep creating, serving, and walking with a heart open to the mysteries of life.
Standing here, gazing at nature’s masterpiece, I realize that the greatest journey is not the one across mountains or rivers — it is the journey within. And in this moment of quiet introspection, I feel gratitude, not just for where I’ve been, but for where I am, and for all that is yet to unfold.
Here’s to the next bend of the river. 🌊⛰️
Here’s to life — fragile, fierce, and infinitely beautiful.
