Welcome to my page. My name is Cathy, a South African in Dubai for the past 10 years.
I always had a passion to help people. That’s why 15 years ago I decided to choose Physiotherapy as a career. Although physiotherapy served me well for many years, I was looking for something more.
I am convinced that there is often, if not always, a link between pain or dysfunction in the body and the emotional state of the person, past traumas and illnesses.
By chance I came across a Bowen Therapist on LinkenIn and it kept popping up on my feed. Curious about this therapy I went to read up about it. I had an ‘ahaa’ moment where I knew that this is what I was looking for!
Since becoming a Bowen Therapist, I’m truly astounded at the power the human body has to heal itself. Bowen Therapy assists the body to change without forcing it. I have seen wonderful results so far and can’t wait to assist more people on their healing journey.
With 13 years experience as a physiotherapist treating musculoskeletal issues I have a unique advantage in that I can assess and diagnose musculoskeletal problems. Not being confined to physiotherapy practices alone I can help you recover holistically utilising the gentle Bowen technique as well.

This fabulous Australian modality is aimed at facilitating release in the musculoskeletal and fascia systems of the body. With the Bowen Therapy moves we are inviting a release of the fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue of the body which touches on all systems, runs superficial to deep, surrounding our muscles, bones, organs and even runs deep into the cellular system of the body.
When we release the fascia with Bowen Therapy, we are initiating a healing response in your body. As your fascia becomes more fluid and free, so too does your range and ease of movement, ability to find deep rest and you will experience an increase in energy levels.
The fascial system is in contact will all the systems of the body, thus issues with the digestive, hormonal, circulatory and lymphatic systems can also be aided by Bowen Therapy.
