بعد 20 سنة من الألم وصعوبة المشي واستخدام العكازين نتيجة كسر في الحوض، عانى المريض من آلام مستمرة وصعوبة في النوم والحركة، مع محاولات متعددة للجراحة لم تكتمل بسبب اختلاف الآراء الطبية.

قبل حوالي عام، وبعد أول لقاء مع د. حيدر قحطان، تم اتخاذ قرار الجراحة بثقة.
وبالفعل، بعد العملية بساعات قليلة فقط، تمكن المريض من الوقوف والمشي كما وُعِد.
في اليوم التالي بدأ العلاج الطبيعي، وخلال أسبوعين خرج من المستشفى، ومع الاستمرار في العلاج والمتابعة، تحسنت حالته يومًا بعد يوم.

بعد فترة قصيرة، تخلّى عن العكاز، وعاد للمشي بدون ألم.
اليوم، يعيش المريض بدون ألم وبحركة طبيعية، بعد سنوات طويلة من المعاناة.

رحلة طويلة انتهت بالشفاء… الحمد لله.

Al Zahra Hospital - Dubai continues to bag more awards in the UAE’s Annual Health Awards 2019

In 2018’s Annual Health Awards Ceremony, Al Zahra Hospital - Dubai (AZHD) proudly received the UAE’s Distinguished Hospital Award, Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany, Chief Executive of AZHD received the UAE’s Distinguished Healthcare Executive Award and Ms. Mervat Mansour the Quality Director received the UAE’s Distinguished Woman in Health Award. AZHD continues to bag more awards in 2019 as His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami Chairman of the Board and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) presented the UAE’s Distinguished Hospital in Medical Tourism and UAE’s Distinguished Hospital in Corporate Social Responsibility Awards to Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany at a star-studded gala event at the Grand Hyatt Dubai on Monday, March 18, 2019. The ceremony was attended by 1000+ people including healthcare leaders, healthcare professionals and popular Arab and Bollywood celebrities.

Jointly organized by the Dubai Health Authority and HEALTH Magazine, the annual HEALTH Awards 2019 recognize and reward exceptional contributions and innovative brilliance in healthcare in the UAE.

Commenting on the awards Dr. Mohaymen Abdelghany, Chief Executive of AZHD said “Following our achievement in 2018 we are committed to staying at the forefront of healthcare in the UAE and continuing to lead in patient experience and outcomes offering them access to world-class care that enhances the quality of life. I’m so grateful to the great team of AZHD and bagging 2 new awards this year recognizes their relentless efforts.” “Winning the Corporate Social Responsibility Award is rewarding AZHD for conducting more than 100 awareness events, 173 screening campaigns and lectures to students at schools and universities, employees in large corporates, residents in different communities, and athletes in many sports activities. We have partnered with Dubai Sports City as Medical Partner and extended the medical coverage to many important international and local events such as Asia Cup 2018 for Cricket and many other rugby and football championships in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.” Abdelghany added

Dr Cristobal Aznar, Chief Medical Officer at AZHD emphasized that the region is witnessing a rapid increase in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as obesity, heart diseases, diabetes and cancer. “We believe that our role goes way beyond providing high quality in-hospital services. And so we strive to promote wellness and disease prevention in our community through a comprehensive strategy that addresses not only patients but also healthcare professionals and the community at large.” Said Dr Aznar. “As part of our strategy we also have a big focus on continuous medical education (CME). And so in 2018 we did more than 65 CME programs including trainings, workshops, symposia, multi-disciplinary meetings and lectures inside and outside AZHD in different medical, surgical and nursing fields for doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals from the region and beyond.” Aznar added.
