She brought one life into the world on her own…
but the rest needed us.

When labour stopped and complications began,
there was no time to wait.

An emergency C-section.
A team ready.
And two more lives safely delivered🤍

Mom is safe.
Her babies are safe.
And that’s all that matters. 🐾

In the tiniest heartbeats…
in the softest beginnings…
and in the moments we help them heal —

we find our happiness. 🤍

What is a BOAS assessment — and why does your pet need it?

If you’re planning to fly with your pet, especially a flat-faced breed like a Shih Tzu, Pugs, Persian cats and many more, this check is essential.

A BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) assessment evaluates your pet’s breathing to ensure they are fit for air travel.

Many airlines, including Emirates, require this for safe relocation.

Good news — the deadline has now been extended till 15th April.

If you’re planning your pet’s travel, don’t leave this for the last minute. Book your assessment with BVH today. 🐾✈️

Planning to travel with a snub-nosed (brachycephalic) pet?

Airlines such as Emirates allow travel for these breeds only during specific months due to their sensitivity to heat and breathing challenges.

The current travel window (November to April) is closing soon, which means time-sensitive planning is essential.

Breeds affected include Bulldogs, Pugs, Persian cats, and other flat-faced pets (Swipe to see the full list).

If you’re considering travelling or relocating with your pet, early preparation can help avoid delays or restrictions.

Our team at British Veterinary Hospital can guide you through the process and help ensure safe and compliant travel arrangements. 🐾✈️

Yesterday, Blossom was brought to us in an emergency and required immediate surgery for a pyometra — a serious uterine infection that can be life-threatening if not treated quickly.

Our veterinary team acted fast to perform the surgery and make sure Blossom received the urgent care she needed. We’re happy to share that she is now recovering well. 🐾

A special thank you to Blossom’s mum, .owais for the lovely goodies — such a thoughtful gesture that truly brightened our team’s day. Thank you for trusting us with Blossom’s care. Seeing our patients recover and return home safely is the greatest reward for our team. 💛

Wishing Blossom a smooth and speedy recovery.

Following contact with Emirates SkyCargo and Etihad, we have been advised that pet cargo bookings are still not currently available, as priority is being given to passengers and their baggage on operating flights.

We will continue monitoring the situation closely and remain in regular contact with the airlines. As soon as we receive any confirmed updates, we will share them with you.

In the meantime, please ensure that your pet has a microchip and that rabies and core vaccinations are up to date, as this will be important for travel once flights become available.

We are currently still able to issue health certificates and arrange export permits.

Rabies titre tests can also be performed in clinic, with results typically taking 7–14 days. Once results are received, pets may be eligible to travel to Oman, however onward travel requirements will need to be discussed to ensure this route is suitable.

Our team will continue attempting to secure flights for pets and working with airlines as the situation evolves.

If you have questions about relocation or want us to review your pet’s documents, please contact our team on WhatsApp or call the clinic.

As soon as we receive any further updates, we will let you know immediately. 🐾

Relocation Update – 5th March 🐾✈️

We know many of you are anxiously waiting for updates regarding pet travel. While some commercial flights are starting to operate again, we are still navigating trying to find flights that pets are able to be booked onto. We are monitoring this situation closely and will update you as soon as we have further information.

Many of you may also have seen the recent update regarding travel to Oman. It is now possible to complete a rabies titre test in the UAE without the previous 3-month wait before entering Oman. However, depending on your final destination, there may still be a 3-month waiting period required once in Oman before onward travel. Every relocation route can be different, so please contact our team to discuss where you are hoping to travel to, and we can help guide you through the available options.

At British Veterinary Hospital, we are able to carry out rabies titre blood tests in clinic, with results usually returning in 7–10 days.

MOCCAE vets are currently open, which means we can complete health certificates and arrange export permits, but these documents are time sensitive so having a confirmed flight is beneficial.

We understand this is a very stressful and uncertain time for many pet owners, and we truly appreciate your patience while we continue to work through the latest updates.
