Yesterday, Blossom was brought to us in an emergency and required immediate surgery for a pyometra — a serious uterine infection that can be life-threatening if not treated quickly.

Our veterinary team acted fast to perform the surgery and make sure Blossom received the urgent care she needed. We’re happy to share that she is now recovering well. 🐾

A special thank you to Blossom’s mum, .owais for the lovely goodies — such a thoughtful gesture that truly brightened our team’s day. Thank you for trusting us with Blossom’s care. Seeing our patients recover and return home safely is the greatest reward for our team. 💛

Wishing Blossom a smooth and speedy recovery.

Following contact with Emirates SkyCargo and Etihad, we have been advised that pet cargo bookings are still not currently available, as priority is being given to passengers and their baggage on operating flights.

We will continue monitoring the situation closely and remain in regular contact with the airlines. As soon as we receive any confirmed updates, we will share them with you.

In the meantime, please ensure that your pet has a microchip and that rabies and core vaccinations are up to date, as this will be important for travel once flights become available.

We are currently still able to issue health certificates and arrange export permits.

Rabies titre tests can also be performed in clinic, with results typically taking 7–14 days. Once results are received, pets may be eligible to travel to Oman, however onward travel requirements will need to be discussed to ensure this route is suitable.

Our team will continue attempting to secure flights for pets and working with airlines as the situation evolves.

If you have questions about relocation or want us to review your pet’s documents, please contact our team on WhatsApp or call the clinic.

As soon as we receive any further updates, we will let you know immediately. 🐾

Relocation Update – 5th March 🐾✈️

We know many of you are anxiously waiting for updates regarding pet travel. While some commercial flights are starting to operate again, we are still navigating trying to find flights that pets are able to be booked onto. We are monitoring this situation closely and will update you as soon as we have further information.

Many of you may also have seen the recent update regarding travel to Oman. It is now possible to complete a rabies titre test in the UAE without the previous 3-month wait before entering Oman. However, depending on your final destination, there may still be a 3-month waiting period required once in Oman before onward travel. Every relocation route can be different, so please contact our team to discuss where you are hoping to travel to, and we can help guide you through the available options.

At British Veterinary Hospital, we are able to carry out rabies titre blood tests in clinic, with results usually returning in 7–10 days.

MOCCAE vets are currently open, which means we can complete health certificates and arrange export permits, but these documents are time sensitive so having a confirmed flight is beneficial.

We understand this is a very stressful and uncertain time for many pet owners, and we truly appreciate your patience while we continue to work through the latest updates.

We know this is a stressful and uncertain time for many families, especially those planning to relocate. Please know we’re here to support you 🤍

Here’s the current update:

• No flights available at this time
• No export permits are currently being issued

Considering Oman?
Travel to Oman requires a Rabies Titre Test and a 3-month waiting period — this is not a quick or simple alternative.

Considering Saudi Arabia?
An import permit is required (3–5 working days processing time) and a valid Saudi visa is needed for the owner.

Vaccine Requirements:
Dogs: Rabies + DHPPiL
Cats: Rabies + FVRCP

Please ensure your pet’s vaccinations are up to date before making any plans.

📞 Call our team to discuss your individual situation and possible options — we’re here to help guide you through this.

Happy 7th Birthday to sweet little Toffee 🎂🐾
Turning seven is a special milestone, and Toffee’s loving mum brought her in for a senior health check to make sure she stays happy and healthy for many years to come.
At her visit, we performed a full check-up, listened carefully to her heart, assessed her joints, discussed age- and breed-related conditions common in Yorkshire Terriers, and planned ahead with preventative care — including heart screening, organ function checks, and routine dental care. We also reviewed Toffee’s weight and diet to help her reach her ideal condition.
Senior pets deserve proactive, thoughtful care. A little planning today can make a big difference tomorrow. Thank you to Toffee’s wonderful mum for trusting us with her precious girl 🤍
