Dr. Shrivastav completed his medical studies in Christian Medical College Vellore, India and then proceeded to the UK where he acquired the Member of the Royal College and training in fertility treatment. In 2001, Dr. Shrivastav was awarded a Fellowship from The Royal College of London in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRCOG) and, his contribution to the field of Reproductive Medicine is one of excellence. A pioneer in the field of Reproductive Medicine, Dr. Shrivastav arrived in Dubai in 1991 at the invitation of the Government of Dubai to be part of a team that was tasked with establishing the U.A.E's first ever Fertility Unit - Dubai Gynaecology and Fertility Centre (DGFC). After it's set-up, he worked there as Deputy Director for the next 13 years. During his tenure at DGFC, Dr. Shrivasav achieved several mile-stones among which, was the birth of the centre’s first IVF babies as early as July 1992 and subsequently, over 2000 babies during his 13 years stint. Currently heads ‘Conceive’ – The Gynaecology & Fertility Hospital, Sharjah, set up in 2004. ‘Conceive’ has been responsible for the birth of over 1000 babies since its inception. The centre offers comprehensive Fertility treatment including IVF, ICSI, Blastocyst culture, Time lapse studies of Embryos, Pre Implantation Genetic Screening of Embryos and Hysteroscopic surgeries. Dr. Shrivastav has devised several new techniques and his contributions to the field of Fertility Medicine include pioneering work in Ovarian Hyperstimulation and Surgical Retrieval of S***m (PESA and TeSA). Both, PESA and TeSA are now routine techniques carried out in fertility units the world over. Dr. Shrivastav is currently involved in a research study undertaken by Prof. Marcia Inhorn from Yale University. Over the years, Dr. Shrivastav has conducted numerous work-shops and seminars across the Middle East and India, lectured and presented papers at both, national and international platforms and has published chapters on the topics of Fertility Medicine and Ultrasound Usage in several books. An active and prominent member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the American Society of Reprodcutive Medicine (ASRM) and other international associations, Dr. Shrivastav is a highly reputed Fertility Specialist with outstanding credentials as a Physician and in the field of research - his contribution to the field of Reproductive Medicine is one of excellence. In recognition of his valuable contribution to the field of Fertility medicine, India bestowed on Dr. Pankaj the prestigious "Hind Rattan" Award.
