Some people notice puffiness or swelling during Ramadan, especially in the hands, feet, or face.
This is often linked to reduced movement and prolonged sitting rather than food or hydration alone.
The lymphatic system relies on movement to circulate fluid.
When movement decreases, fluid can accumulate, creating a heavy or swollen feeling.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, improving circulation and lymphatic flow is essential.
Lymphatic drainage therapy supports fluid movement, helping reduce swelling and restore comfort during fasting.

We’re seeing teenagers with pain that used to appear much later in life.

Long hours sitting, early screen exposure, and constant pressure affect developing bodies quickly.
When strain builds early, the body starts compensating instead of adapting.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, prevention starts before pain becomes a pattern.

Muscle tension often feels temporary, but repeated stress keeps muscles in a semi-contracted state.
This reduces circulation, limits oxygen supply, and makes recovery slower.

That’s why stretching alone doesn’t always solve the problem.

TuiNa massage and cupping work deeper into muscle layers to restore movement and blood flow.

Stress doesn’t stay emotional for long.
It changes how muscles behave and how blood circulates.
When muscles don’t fully relax, circulation slows and stiffness builds. Over time, this leads to pain.
TCM treatments focus on releasing tension and restoring circulation before these patterns become chronic.

We were deeply honored to welcome Nobel Prize–winning chemist Professor Arieh Warshel and his wife to TCMShanghai.

Professor Warshel, currently a professor at the University of Southern California (USC), is best known for pioneering the Quantum Mechanics/Molecular Mechanics (QM/MM) model, a breakthrough that transformed how scientists understand enzyme reactions and molecular processes, with lasting impact on modern biomedicine and drug development.

What made this visit especially meaningful to us was his openness and curiosity. He has previously delivered lectures in China that touched on Traditional Chinese Medicine, a connection we truly admire and respect. Being able to meet him in person and exchange ideas was a rare privilege.

His wife, Tamar, is also familiar with acupuncture and TuiNa therapy, and we hope our treatments brought both of them a moment of relaxation and comfort during their visit.

We sincerely wish this warm, humble, and inspiring couple continued health and happiness, and we’re deeply grateful for this wonderful encounter. 💗

When we talk about renewal, we usually think mentally.
But the body also carries what hasn’t been released.

Prolonged sitting, repetitive posture, and ongoing stress create muscle tension and restrict circulation. Over time, this affects how easily the body moves and recovers.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, addressing these physical patterns early helps prevent pain and stiffness later on.
Treatments like TuiNa massage and acupuncture focus on releasing tension and restoring normal circulation.

Laba Festival marks the shift deeper into winter.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is a time to slow down, warm the body, and protect energy.
Cold weather challenges circulation and digestion, which is why winter care focuses on gentle nourishment and balance, not intensity.
Laba Porridge is one of those seasonal rituals.
Simple ingredients. Slow cooking. Deep nourishment.
A reminder that longevity isn’t rushed.
It’s built season by season, from the inside out.

Curious how TCM supports winter immunity and balance?

If sleep was just about habits, fixing it would be easy.

Light sleep, waking up tired, racing thoughts.
That’s usually the body asking for regulation, not a new routine.

✅Acupuncture helps calm the system.
✅TuiNa releases the tension that keeps sleep shallow.

Let your body rest properly.
