The logo typifies and exemplifies the importance of tourism development in the town of San Jose, Batangas by dint of outstanding leadership in the act of providing convincing services, providing high-grade products from agriculture, and preserving old customs, festivities and cultures.
The logo highlights the centuries old church of Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Joseph the Patriarch which is one of the sought-after Catholic Pilgrimage Sites. It is said to have visited frequently by pilgrims in recent years. Local and some foreign sightseers mob upon March 19 festivity or the Feast Day of St. Joseph The Patriarch and Lenten season. People in this town were able to preserve the Catholic creed hitherto against the odds that went through in the past years. It only shows that the faith in God remains adamant.
Below the church, at the middle or between coffee beans and brown eggs, is a combination of vertical oblique egg and a brown peacomb layer. Chicken layer in the logo signifies the prevalent business in San Jose, Batangas, which is poultry farming. Due to this, it has become the main supplier of significant percentage of poultry products within and outside of Batangas.
Eggs; Egg is what makes the town of San Jose, Batangas most well-known. The town was named as the “Egg basket of the Philippines” due to its highest supply of eggs in Luzon and some parts of Visayas. It is also renowned for its “Sinuam Festival” which is held every year on April 25th. As we all know, Sinuam is a salty and spicy egg soup that’s traditionally served for women who have just given birth; but, nowadays, it is also prepared as viand which is also good especially during wet season. This festival is celebrated to show off that layer’s egg has an essential contribution in helping the town’s economic growth. Furthermore, a method of expressing gratitude to St. Joseph, the patron, for the accomplishment of people business.
Akin to other places in the country, San Jose is also well-known for having an excellent high-grade of coffee, and one of these is “kapeng barako - pihong tanggal ang kapoy at gising ang araw mo.” In my experience, mixing the pure ground coffee with stevia or honey as natural sweetener is a bit healthier as it can lessen the acidity level of coffee and may give you an exceptional taste and aroma. I just suggest you to drink it moderately.
The 33 stars in the logo represents 33 barangays in San Jose, Batangas in which the tourism spots and quality products from agriculture and so forth can be found.
Additionally, San Jose in Batangas has a pleasant climate which makes it a healthy place to stay. Forsooth, it is a nice place to spend staycation and furlough for peace and tranquility.
The green symbolizes nature and abundance. Yellow which is the color of the sun means hope. It is also the egg yolk color. Deep orange color that I used also illustrates another color of egg yolk wherein an indication of highest-quality egg which is based on the study. Brown as ancestral structure color. Black brown as the color of coffee.
Thus, I recommend “ka-itlog” to eggsperience the eggsciting events, eggsplore the places in town, and try the eggscellent quality products.
