The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body and is a key part of the circulatory system.
Main Parts of the Heart
1. Chambers of the Heart • Right Atrium – Receives deoxygenated blood from the body through the superior and inferior vena cava.
• Right Ventricle – Pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs through the pulmonary artery.
• Left Atrium – Receives oxygenated blood from the lungs through the pulmonary veins.

Valves of the Heart

Important Structures
