The main causes for neck pain :
Muscle strain: This is a common cause, often due to poor posture, overuse of the neck muscles, or sleeping in an awkward position.

Poor posture: Sitting or standing with incorrect posture for extended periods can strain the neck.

Injury: Such as whiplash from a car accident, a fall, or a sports injury.

Herniated or bulging discs: When the cushions between the vertebrae in your neck become damaged or move out of place, they can press on nerves, causing pain.

Arthritis: Osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis can affect the neck, leading to pain and stiffness.

Degenerative disc disease: As discs age, they can lose hydration and height, leading to pain and reduced flexibility.

Pinched nerve: Pressure on a nerve in the neck, often from a herniated disc or bone spur, can cause pain that radiates down the arm.

Stress: Emotional stress can lead to tension in the neck muscles, causing pain.
