Caribbean youth told 🇺🇳🏛 UNESCO that breaking the cycle of violence requires honest, open conversations across generations, conversations that acknowledge mental health and trauma, challenge stigma, and create real pathways to healing together 🫱🫲
The UNESCO Office for the Caribbean is pleased to invite you to our upcoming panel discussion, Caribbean Resilience: Tackling Community Violence and Mental Health.
Hosted in recognition of Human Rights Day, this event builds on UNESCO’s forthcoming report exploring how community violence affects mental health across the Caribbean.
The discussion will bring together youth, community leaders, mental health practitioners, and policymakers for a meaningful intergenerational exchange on the links between violence and well-being, and the collective actions needed to strengthen safer, more supportive environments.
