SZV is responsible for implementing social and health insurance for the country Sint Maarten.

The three pillars “Customer Care”, “Quality Care” and “Sustainable Care” are important concepts for SZV. SZV will deliver true partnership with the players in the field and cooperates with representatives of all stakeholders.: the executive council, the health sector, employers’ organization (s), trade unions and residents. SZV is aware of the importance of its existence and wants to serve the public. SZV wants to be a guiding and defining institution for the country St. Maarten and its citizens. “SZV, Because We Care” is not an empty phrase but a real ambition. SZV aims for a sustainable and high quality system of social and health insurance, from both a ‘cost-consciousness’ and a ‘development perspective’. SZV Social & Health Insurances was recognized by the Parliament as one of Sint Maarten’s AI and Technology Ambassadors. This recognition is an acknowledgement of SZV’s pioneering digital innovation strategy to serve the community of Sint Maarten.

The recognition formally took place during the Opening of the Parliamentary Year 2025-2026 on September 9, 2025. SZV along with other stakeholders, was acknowledged for its vision, commitment, and achievements in advancing Artificial Intelligence and technology on Sint Maarten under the 2025-2026 theme “Building digital trust: exploring a national AI strategy and further development of an Open Parliament”, where the Parliament emphasized the importance of responsible adoption of digital technologies.

SZV Social & Health Insurances has officially launched its newly upgraded digital portals, MySZV and the Employer Portal, introducing a modern look, new features, and simplified navigation designed to enhance the overall client experience. The upgraded portals form part of SZV’s broader strategy to expand its digital services, meeting the evolving needs of an increasingly digital society. Individuals and employers now have improved tools to manage their accounts, track requests, and access information 24/7.
