Public Health & Sports Department Saba

Public Health & Sports Department Saba The Public Health Department promotes, protects, and monitors the health of the community of Saba.

The Public Health Department works, together with its partners, towards its goals through:
•Youth health care
•Infectious disease control
•Health epidemiology
•Health promotion
•Sexual health
•Forensic medicine
•Disaster management
•Integral advice to the government

In our vision, public health is not limited to the obvious health-related issues. Urban planning, poverty reduction, and waste management can all have an influence on the health of the people of Saba and we want to use our expertise where it is needed.

It takes a village to raise a child and a village to support the parent of that child.

It takes a village to raise a child and a village to support the parent of that child.

While we know that it takes a village to raise a child, Parenting in Action (PIA) also believes that it takes a village to support the parent of that child.

PIA is a group of professionals who aim to empower parents within the Saban community. We focus on parent-child communication, developmental expectancies guidance, problem-solving and importantly, we also focus on topics that you, the parents, suggest, ensuring our support meets your real-world needs. Furthermore, we are giving parents a space on our panel to share their experiences, because your voice is a vital part of our village. Our program is a space for sharing, learning, and supporting one another through the most challenging job in the world being a parent.

💜 World Cancer Day Together We Stand 💜

Yesterday, we came together in unity, strength, and hope in recognition of World Cancer Day. By wearing light purple/lavender ribbons, sharing awareness, and standing side by side, we showed our support for everyone affected by cancer the fighters, survivors, and the loved ones we carry in our hearts.

We were grateful to give out ribbons, spread awareness, and capture meaningful moments of individuals who proudly showed their support. The positive energy, love, and unity shared truly reminded us that no one fights alone.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped spread awareness. Your support matters 💜

Together, we stand for hope, strength, and unity.

💜 World Cancer Day 💜

Today, we share stories of strength, resilience, and hope from within our community. These lived experiences remind us that cancer does not define a person courage, faith, family, and perseverance do.

Each story shared is a reminder that no one faces this journey alone. Together, we honor survivors, support those currently fighting, and remember loved ones who have been affected by cancer.

Join us in showing solidarity by wearing purple or lavender and helping to raise awareness.

💜 You are not alone.
