As Summer Kicks In Everyone is Excited about some Sun, Pool, and Beach Time. One of the biggest Toxins and Carcinogens in our society is the chemicals found in conventional Sunscreen.
As our largest organ, our skin absorbs around 60% of what we put on it, which is why transdermal medication and supplementation is so successful. If you're not into reading labels and memorising a list of unpronounceable names of chemicals to avoid in sunscreen, just remember what you CAN put on your skin.
I spend almost all of my year under the sunshine and always use a zinc based sunscreen daily on my face and neck. If I'm surfing I'll use it on my body too, but a mix of natural oils suffices average daily exposure. Personally I've used Coconut Oil for the past 10 years, and I'll add Carrot Oil, Red Raspberry, and Wheatgerm Oil to it to up the SPF to between 20-30.
Eating dark green, red, purple, orange, and yellow fruits and vegetables protects against UV Rays, as does EFA's internally such as Coconut, Flax, Sesame, and Avocado Oils.
Skin Brushing daily also stimulates new cell growth and your lymphatic system which is a big contributor to detoxifying close to the skins surface.
Splash out on a fancy hat, and some stylish cover ups and you've got Summer Nailed 🌴☀️👒👙
