Someone asked me recently how I kept my Dairy-Free Coconut Kefir alive...I replied that I had no idea apart from crossing my fingers it wouldn't die. I still don't know what I'm doing right, but this is the third time this week my Kefir has exploded with growth-full enthusiasm and I've had to eat up remnants off the shelf. If you would like some Dairy-Free Kefir, come over!

As Summer Kicks In Everyone is Excited about some Sun, Pool, and Beach Time. One of the biggest Toxins and Carcinogens in our society is the chemicals found in conventional Sunscreen.

As our largest organ, our skin absorbs around 60% of what we put on it, which is why transdermal medication and supplementation is so successful. If you're not into reading labels and memorising a list of unpronounceable names of chemicals to avoid in sunscreen, just remember what you CAN put on your skin.

I spend almost all of my year under the sunshine and always use a zinc based sunscreen daily on my face and neck. If I'm surfing I'll use it on my body too, but a mix of natural oils suffices average daily exposure. Personally I've used Coconut Oil for the past 10 years, and I'll add Carrot Oil, Red Raspberry, and Wheatgerm Oil to it to up the SPF to between 20-30.

Eating dark green, red, purple, orange, and yellow fruits and vegetables protects against UV Rays, as does EFA's internally such as Coconut, Flax, Sesame, and Avocado Oils.

Skin Brushing daily also stimulates new cell growth and your lymphatic system which is a big contributor to detoxifying close to the skins surface.

Splash out on a fancy hat, and some stylish cover ups and you've got Summer Nailed 🌴☀️👒👙

I've long been an Advocate for Shunning Conventional Sunscreen, and have successfully used Zinc Based Sunscreens for the past 7 years. For many reasons, dozens of research articles I've read, and my own personal experiences, I'm a supporter o articles like this one.

According to a June 2014 article featured in The Independent (UK), a major study conducted by researchers at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden found that women who avoid sunbathing during the summer are twice as likely to die as those who sunbathe every day.

As the Sun Sets on the Final Night of this Retreat my initial thoughts are of exhaustion from providing three meals a day all week for our Guests. But in the Quiet Reflection I'm filled with Gratitude...for the People I've Met, the Perspectives I've Gained, and the Endless things I've Overcome and Learnt about Myself. Life should always be Progressive, Challenging, Broadening, and Ultimately Epic. There is no Destination, and I hope to Never 'Arrive'. Blessed are those who share the outermost parts of their Spirit with Others, even their Fears, because Every Soul we Encounter Awakens a new Part of Ourselves. Namaste To The Day 🙏🏼
