Celebrating National Diabetes Day, November 14! 💙🌊

The Diabetes Program, together with dedicated Department of Health staff, proudly led a wave to raise awareness about diabetes and its impact on our community. This initiative highlighted the importance of early education, understanding risk factors, and making informed lifestyle choices. By promoting daily physical activity, balanced nutrition, and regular health screenings, we continue our commitment to empowering individuals to take charge of their health and prevent diabetes. Together, we are making waves for a healthier future.

🪏🪴🥬 Vegetable Garden Project

A new project between the American Samoa Department of Health and Department of Agriculture to promote healthy living and agriculture is underway at Tafuna High School! ASDOA will work with ASDOH and THS faculty and students to set up a vegetable garden at the school. ASDOH has provided farm tools while ASDOA will provide technical assistance and some elbow grease for the project 💪
