Are you having a hard time using the FinanzOnline system to file your tax returns on your own? 📝💶

To make digital administration easier, the Austrian Ministry of Finance has introduced a new feature in FinanzOnline as of January 2026: Free Authorization (Unentgeltliche Vertretung).

With this service individuals can appoint a trusted adult (“trusted person”) to deal with their FinanzOnline matters. The service is aimed at people who need assistance in using the online portal – for example because of language barriers - and would like to authorize a person they trust to do so.

The main conditions include:

· The trusted person has to be at least 18 years of age
· the trusted person needs their own a FinanzOnline login
· The service should be exclusively free of charge. It serves to provide support within the family or circle of trusted individuals and may not be performed professionally (for remuneration).

Today we had a lovely visit from our board member and vice president, Doris Kiendl.
We had an interesting morning exchange about overlapping topics such as English-language study options at FH JOANNEUM International Management, international exchange programs and industry cooperation.🌍💼📖

Yesterday we had the pleasure of learning everything there is to know about the childcare & primary school system in Graz, registration processes, costs, options for non-German speaking kids and much more. 🏫🚸💡

Hands thawed, faces glowing, conversations flowing – this was the fully booked CINT Ice Skating Event! ❄⛸
We had fun gliding, laughing, and occasionally wobbling our way across the ice at Grazer Winterwelt. On our private ice rink, we enjoyed a joyful mix of first attempts and confident spins. For some, it was their very first time on ice skates; for others, a return to childhood memories. But no matter the skill level, everyone had a good time – and the ice brought us together in the most wonderful way.
After our laps, we warmed up with steaming mugs of mulled wine, punch, and other hot drinks. The perfect recipe for a cosy winter gathering! ⛄🤩☕
We hope all participants enjoyed this winter activity. Here’s to many more exciting get-togethers, new friendships, and shared adventures ahead! 🙌👏

At yesterday's online info session “Legal Aspects and Styrian Labour Market for International Students”, we took a deep dive into what young global talents can expect once they decide to build a career in Styria. 🚀💼

Warmly moderated by Doris Kiendl (Chair of the Institute International Management & Entrepreneurship of FH Joanneum) and CINT CEO Veronika Wolf, who guided through the online event and established a dynamic dialogue between all participants, our expert speakers Dr. Harald Hanik (A3) and Mag.a Muna Hamoud-Seifried (AFZ) brought their perspectives together in a way that gave participants not only clarity, but hopefully also confidence.

It was a pleasure to host this online info session in cooperation with the Styrian Government Land Steiermark (Department A3 Constitution and Internal Affairs), AMS Steiermark - Department of Employment for Foreign Citizens (AFZ), and the FH JOANNEUM International Management.

For us there is no doubt: Our region and business location benefit greatly from the knowledge and global mindset that international highly qualified employees bring to the table. As center of excellence and service for expatriates and partner of Styrian businesses and industries, we hope that with this event we were able to convince young international talents of the many possibilities Styria has to offer.
