💡 This ESMO 2025 webinar will cover a range of topics, including the latest advancements treatment options, imaging modalities and performant tracers related to solid and liquid tumours. The focus of this event will be the recent advances in solid & liquid tumour treatment, clinical trials and emerging therapies, biomarkers in solid tumours and multidisciplinary approaches. The importance of collaboration among medical oncologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, pathologists and surgeons will be underlined, based on clinical examples. Furthermore, challenges and opportunities in immunotherapy for solid tumours will be addressed, with special attention for personalised treatment plans in specific cancers, like lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal, and prostate cancer.

SASAI (Shared Audit and Supplier Assessment Initiative) is tailored for manufacturers of PET . It uses a small independent auditor team, enables shared audit-reports (to save you time & money), and aligns with EU GMP/regulatory requirements.

📸 Looking back at the Policy Symposia at EANM’25

The Policy Symposia provided a unique platform to discuss the translation of nuclear medicine policy into actionable practice across Europe.

From Policy to Patients focused on and , preparing healthcare systems for increased demand through workforce development, infrastructure, and referral pathway improvements.

Growing Role of Health Technology Assessment in Nuclear Medicine covered the Regulation, stressing early engagement, patient-centred outcomes, and harmonisation across Member States.

🇪🇺 We were extremely pleased with the strong turnout and high level of engagement at , which clearly demonstrated the commitment of the nuclear medicine community across Europe. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their contributions, questions and dedication and to all speakers for sharing their expertise, insights and guidance, which were instrumental in making the symposia a success.

Breast cancer is the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲, the second most frequently diagnosed cancer, and the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻. By 2040, breast cancer is predicted to increase to over 3 million new cases and 1 million deaths per year.

Staging patients with breast cancer is challenging, and imaging is of the utmost importance in all clinical settings. Despite the well-stablished usefulness of radiologic modalities, Nuclear Medicine has demonstrated an important role to play in breast cancer, which has been increasingly supported by strong scientific evidence.

The recent equipment and radiopharmaceutical developments have opened the path to improving tumour characterisation through several imaging possibilities. Currently, the challenge is to use the correct combination of equipment and tracer at the right time. Furthermore, homogenised imaging and clinical procedures are becoming increasingly more important.

During this course, the highlights from the consensus reached during the multidisciplinary 𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗠 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟲 about Nuclear Medicine diagnostics and therapeutics possibilities will be comprehensively presented and discussed in a close way between the faculty and attendees.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologists in Theranostics International Consortium (NMT-TIC) — which includes representatives from the Australian & New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine, the EANM Technologists Committee, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) — invites all Technologists or equivalent professionals to take part in their international survey.

Your input will help define global standards for NMT education, training, and competencies in and clinical trials, and will directly contribute to the development of evidence-based consensus recommendations, best practice articles, and future guidelines that will help harmonise global standards while recognising country-specific practices.

📸 Looking back at the EU Policy Workshop at EANM’25

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Barcelona for the first-ever EU Policy Workshop. It was a real pleasure to see such strong interest in how European policy connects with our work in nuclear medicine.

The session gathered colleagues from across Europe to discuss how research, clinical practice and advocacy can jointly shape the future of healthcare, while also highlighting EANM’s ongoing work to represent the field within European health and research policy. The discussions were open, insightful and highly engaging.
