The European Commission has launched the Safe Hearts Plan, the first-ever EU-wide strategy to tackle cardiovascular disease — still the leading cause of death in Europe.
The ESR strongly welcomes this landmark initiative, highlighting the critical role of medical imaging in early detection, prevention, and precision care. 🩻✨ From low-dose CT to cardiac MRI and AI-powered diagnostics, radiology is at the heart of this shift from reactive treatment to proactive prevention.

Together, the European Commission and the medical imaging community are paving the way for earlier diagnoses, smarter prevention, and healthier hearts across Europe. 💙
