A 51-year-old patient with a history of diabetes mellitus and stress urinary incontinence presented with a one-week history of low back pain. A non-contrast CT scan was initially performed due to suspicion of vertebral fracture, revealing an osteolytic lesion of the vertebral body. Electromyography was non-specific and showed no significant abnormalities. A subsequent MRI was obtained for further lesion characterisation and assessment of local extent.
