I was honoured to be interviewed by Leigh Milne on 101.3FM Collie Community Radio’s Transcending Trauma program to talk about Face & Body Interpretation and how the body communicates our inner world.

In this episode, Leigh and I talk about how facial features, expression, posture, and movement reflect emotional patterns and lived experience. I share how I work with facial lines, muscle tension, and body structure, alongside psychosomatic therapy and Chinese five-element wisdom, to support awareness and understanding.

This approach isn’t about surface observation. It’s about listening to what the body is already showing us and using that information to support wellbeing and emotional balance.

If you’re curious about how the face and body hold meaning beyond words, this conversation may resonate.

Register Now for Our New 3-Part Series: Your Heart Is Your Compass in Uncertain Times

Part 1 Topic: Why global uncertainty affects us more than we sometimes realise. How the nervous system responds to unpredictability

In times of change, it can be easy to stay in the mind, trying to make sense of what is happening around us. But the body is often already responding - holding tension, shifting energy, and signalling what we may not yet have words for.

In this first session of our new 3-part series, join Linda Thackray, Christy Foster, and Sean Jago as we look at how global change can influence our inner world, how the body communicates what we are holding, and how we can return to what keeps us grounded.

This is a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what helps you find steadiness in uncertain times.

If you can’t attend live, the session will be recorded.

Understanding What Supports Real Integration

This month’s Psychosomatic Conversations session centres on bodywork and integration processes, with a focus on how self-reflection and guided inquiry support meaningful change over time.

This recorded session, Linda Thackray, Christy Foster, and Sean Jago share insights from their work, and dives deeper into processes which you can utilise to create awareness and insight into body tensions.

There is a strong emphasis on staying present with what is felt, allowing space for insight to land, and building a relationship with the body that supports long-term change.
The session closes with an invitation to continue observing your internal responses and reflecting on what your body may be communicating, creating space for integration to continue beyond the session.

Supporting awareness through the body – with practical tools you can use

Awareness often opens the door, but integration is what allows change to settle into the body. Without this step, insight can remain conceptual rather than lived.
In this month’s Psychosomatic Conversations, we’ll focus on integration through bodywork, guided processes, and self-reflection, with space to work directly with what participants are experiencing in real time.

We’ll explore:
• Guided integration processes to support awareness and softening
• Slow, practical exercises you can use immediately – for yourself or with clients
• Facilitated self-reflection to deepen awareness
• Tracking tension patterns in real time – what is your body holding today?
• Working directly with specific areas of pain or tightness
• Recognising where insight has landed and where it may still need support
• Live Q + A on specific body parts brought by participants (you’re welcome to send in photos or questions in advance)

Join Linda Thackray, Christy Foster, and Sean Jago for a supportive and practical live session focused on integration, embodiment, and understanding what your body is asking for next.

Watch Psychosomatic Conversations – Bodywork & Integration

Why Awareness Alone Doesn’t Always Shift Patterns

This month’s Psychosomatic Conversations session focused on the relationship between bodywork, awareness, and integration – and why insight on its own doesn’t always lead to lasting change.

In this recorded session, Linda Thackray, Christy Foster, and Sean Jago share personal reflections from their work in psychosomatic therapy, exploring how patterns are revealed through the body and what supports real integration. The discussion highlights the role of vulnerability, emotional release, and the body’s capacity to teach and communicate when it feels safe to do so.

They explore how awareness is accessed, why gentle and attuned approaches matter, and the therapist’s role in creating a supportive space for emotional expression. There is a strong emphasis on curiosity, self-observation, and understanding the complexity of working across mental, emotional, and physical layers of experience.

The session closes with an invitation to continue noticing body sensations and patterns over the coming month, setting the foundation for deeper integration in the next session.

Free Live Event | February Psychosomatic Conversations – Bodywork & Integration

Why awareness alone doesn’t always shift patterns

Awareness is often the first step – but on its own, it doesn’t always create lasting change. Without integration, insight can stay in the mind rather than moving through the body.

In this month’s Psychosomatic Conversations, we’ll explore how bodywork and awareness work together, and why both are needed for meaningful shifts.
We’ll discuss:
• Why bodywork without awareness can miss the deeper story
• Why insight is only step one in creating change
• How psychosomatic awareness can deepen and enhance simple massage
• What integration looks like in real-world practice

Join Linda Thackray, Christy Foster, and Sean Jago for a thoughtful and grounded live conversation about bringing awareness into the body, and supporting change beyond insight alone.
