The fitness industry can feel… a bit intense sometimes.
There’s this underlying feeling that everyone’s in competition with each other — coaches vs coaches, gyms vs gyms… and honestly, it can be a bit worrying.
But the reality?
We’re not.
At the end of the day, every single one of us — if we’re doing this for the right reasons — has the same goal:
👉 To help people become healthier
👉 To help people feel stronger
👉 To help people become the best version of themselves
And here’s the truth a lot of people don’t talk about…
Not every coach is right for every person.
Some coaches specialise in different areas.
Some have more experience in certain fields.
Sometimes you just mesh better with someone else.
And that’s okay.
You might outgrow a coach.
You might need something different.
You might just feel pulled in another direction.
👉 That doesn’t mean anyone failed.
👉 That doesn’t mean anyone isn’t good enough.
It just means you’re evolving.
I was at a powerlifting comp on the weekend, surrounded by so many different coaches and athletes…
And it honestly reminded me —
this isn’t about competing with each other.
It’s about:
👉 Supporting athletes
👉 Backing each other
👉 Wanting the best for people — no matter who they train with
And if you’re a coach listening to this…
And you’ve had clients leave, change, or move on —
don’t be disheartened.
There’s already enough pressure in the world making people feel like they’re not enough.
We don’t need to add to that.
👉 You’re not for everyone — and you’re not meant to be.
👉 But you are exactly what someone needs.
Stay in your lane.
Keep showing up.
Keep caring.
That’s what actually matters 💛
