The core is arguably the most important part of the body.
A strong core will support the whole body with movement, daily living and help prevent injury.
Overtime, if the core is not functioning properly the other joints/muscles of the body will become weak and dysfunctional. This then leads to poor posture and more serious physical impairments.
Here are six exercises to attempt in the gym or at home to improve your core strength and stability.
1. Plank on knees or toes
2. Side plank reach through
3. Dead bug
4. Pallof press
5. Turkish sit up
Try these at least once a week and if you would like more specific exercises then give us a call on 49572961 to book a 1:1 consult with Maddy, our Exercise Physiologist.
