We’re so excited to introduce Maggie - Acupuncturist & Remedial massage therapist, the newest member of our clinic! 🤗😇

Maggie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine after four years of dedicated study, and brings over three years of hands-on experience in both acupuncture and therapeutic massage. She has a warm and caring nature and is always ready to help our clients feel their best.

Whether you’re dealing with headaches, neck and shoulder tension, or back and leg pain, Maggie is skilled in using acupuncture to provide relief. She’s also great at professional massage to ease muscle soreness and help you fully relax.

Maggie has already built a warm reputation in Adelaide’s southern community, and we’re thrilled to have her caring touch here with us.

Starting November 5th, Maggie will be working every Wednesday and Thursday. Book a session with Maggie and experience the care she brings! 💆‍♀️✨

📣Introducing our new type of massage treatment service of [Myofascial release massage (MFR)] :

Myofascial release massage is a specialised manual therapy technique that targets the myofascial system, which includes the fascia (a connective tissue network) and the muscles it envelops. Fascia can become tight, restricted, or develop adhesions due to injury, stress, inflammation, or poor posture, leading to pain and reduced mobility. MFR focuses on releasing these restrictions to improve movement and alleviate discomfort.

How myofascial release massage works:
-Slow, sustained pressure: Your therapist will apply gentle yet sustained pressure to areas of fascial tension or restrictions.
-Stretching and releasing: The pressure encourages the fascia to “melt” and realign, promoting greater tissue mobility and elasticity.
-Holistic approach: Focuses on the entire fascial network, not just the specific site of pain or dysfunction.

📣Introducing our new type of massage treatment service of [Manual lymphatic drainage Massage] ✋🏻🤚🏻:

Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, connective tissue massage technique that accelerates the movement of the lymphatic fluid that bathes the tissues through the lymphatic system and into the bloodstream. Your registered massage therapist will use gentle, precise, rhythmic strokes. The pumping action of the massage causes small capillaries to open and close, enhancing the reabsorption of lymph from the tissues back into the lymphatic vessels.

The lymphatic system is responsible for keeping the connective tissue surrounding cells free from excess water, proteins, bacteria, viruses, inorganic materials, destroyed cells resulting from surgery or trauma, red blood cells, and other dead cells. This technique helps to reduce edema or tissue fluid retention and decongests lymphatic pathways. The repetitive and soothing techniques also stimulate pain-inhibitory reflexes. Lymphatic Drainage Massage may enhance immune function, increase tissue metabolism, improve nutrition to the tissues, promote eliminative functions, establish fluid balance, reduce pain, and induce deep relaxation.

Your therapist will work with you to individualise this treatment to the specific, targeted areas needed. Lymphatic drainage massage is not a relaxation massage, it is a therapeutic treatment with relaxation benefits.
