PARKINSON'S & DOUBLE VISION
Parkinson’s disease (PD) and other movement disorders, can cause a variety of complaints related to vision. While not everyone with PD will have problems with vision, there are a variety of ways to treat the symptoms when they occur.
Double vision and trouble with focus is a common problem for people with PD. This can lead to an inability to read or complete other near sighted tasks, such as sewing or doing crosswords. Prisms can help to bend light to the proper focal point on the retina when the eyes are not able to achieve this on their own. Prism can be incorporated into your spectacles, or can often be adhered to your current glasses to give instant relief to double vision.
