The NDIS are planning on removing funding for Art Therapy. We should be increasing mental health supports, not limiting them.

Jaz is a much-loved member of the Messy Hands Family, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated by her family and anyone who knows Jaz. She is a bright, happy, generous girl, who is so giving and strives to put a smile on other people's faces (even though she is going through so much).

My new group, Getting Arty, which has been designed for girls aged between 9 - 12 years old, is due to start early next week ... I'm really looking forward to connecting with new girls, helping to build friendships, increase awareness about wellness and having some good fun getting messy and creative together!

Enrolments now open for Getting Arty! Limited places... get in quickly.

Getting Arty is a Social Art Group for girls aged between 9 - 12yrs. Commencing on Tuesday 2nd of May, this fortnightly group will be a place for young women to make friends, build relationships and have fun being creative.

Thanks to all who have expressed interest in the Teen Girls Art & Wellness Group. I have received expressions of interest from people wanting to attend and only need a couple more to get things started.

Please get in contact via DM or email (kylienorth@messyhandsarttherapy.com.au) if you are interested, and please pass on details for others that you think may be interested.

I've also had enquiries regarding a Tween Girl's group. I am taking names and will look into this further if there is enough interest.

Expressions of Interest Open...

Due to a number of requests, Messy Hands is looking at the option of creating a Teen Girls Art & Wellbeing Group for 2023.

This would potentially be held fortnightly on a Tuesday evening at Clipboard Stationers & Art Supplies in Morphett Vale (suggested time is @ 6.30 - 8pm). This group would be a social group, focussing on building friendships and connections while using art as a tool of expression.

Ideally the group will have between 4 - 6 participants and would be funded through Social and Community Participation in the attendees NDIS plan.

The Summer Sessions are a group targeted at Teen Girls and will be commencing on Wednesday 11/01.

There are still a couple of places available... this group is a great way for teens to make a positive start to the year and will look at setting intentions, keeping cool (grounding strategies) and using art/junk journaling as a form of self expression.
