An Update!

If it feels like we’ve been off social media- or you haven’t heard from us! That would be very accurate!

This year I (Jordi) started my dream job in a continuity of care model- aaaaand we got married! This has meant Immerse in Birth has fallen on the back burner!

It has become too much managing my job and also fulfilling orders, chasing late (and even completely missing hire items). We have come to the sad but the absolutely correct decision to wrap up our small business that has been our little passion project for the last three years! Life is pulling us in other directions and we cannot wait to see where it takes us!

We will be looking at selling off our pools and tens and the remainder of our stock so please make contact with us if you would be interested in purchasing!

I will keep my instagram/business page open for any future midwifery adventures I may undertake in the future!

Friendly reminder! Our Tens Hires are for a 6 week period! We understand postpartum is a crazy time, however if you are late returning your tens, it means someone else may be missing out!

Pickup/Hires and Click and Collect will be unavailable from 25/9-8/10 as we embark on our first family Roadtrip as a family of 5!

Whilst we are no longer as young or skinny as we are in this pic, we thought it was about time we took the kids back to where I spent a good 6 years of my childhood and make some new memories!

PS. We have also just received a order of XL Silverettes and happy to take any orders for pickup until later tomorrow night. Feel free to contact if you have any urgent enquiries and as always I will do my best to help! Let your EP mates know and we will be more than happy to bring down any orders of store items saving you shipping fees (Port Lincoln and Ceduna Routes only).

An extra treat for todays Birthpool hire customer!

FRIENDLY REMINDER FOR ALL BIRTH POOL HIRES

-Even though all hires use liners, the liners do not go down to the bottom of the pool on the outside. Please check in and around the pool for any blood or bodily fluids. Particularly the spot where you step out of the pool post birth. Blood can stain the plastic and render the pool unusable for hire- even if cleaned. Please wipe over with damp microfibre cloth with some diluted disinfectant and allow to dry before packing away.
-Please hang the hoses after use and allow to drain. There is electric equipment in the kits that can be damaged by excess amounts of water.

We understand emergencies happen, urgent hospital transfer- haemorrage- and accidents happen. Please send us a message asap and we can talk you through clean up or organise to assist or come pick up early to ensure the kit is not compromised. The last thing we want to have to do is charge fordamages but as a small business we do have to protect our assets to ensure we can continue business as usual- and the customers booked after you are not affected.

We will also like to extend a friendly warning that we be reviewing our hire prices at EOFY and due to increase in cost of consumables like tens pads, batteries and pool liners we suspect a small increase in hire prices will be necessary. Please consider booking hires now before the price rise if that is something that concerns you. We aim to keep prices as affordable as possible whilst ensuring time spent on the business remains viable for us!

The smile that is finally getting paid to work in a career that brings you joy and passion. One where you want to learn, do better, be better for them and for yourself. One where you have the confidence to advocate for their needs, and go balls deep into hard situations, even if you don’t know what your doing because you’ve had the benefit of an incredibly supportive team behind you!

Not going to lie, .8 shift work whilst being a mum to two (oops three 😅) kids has quite literally tried to kill me. I’ve already developed a nasty pneumonia- had to take sick leave and ended up in ED because my heart has decided that it’s had one two many illnesses and it wants to dabble in a game of POTS (hopefully just post virus related symptoms and not actual POTS).

We’ve also already established that I’m a bit of a s**t magnet but I just like to think I’m really good at assessing and escalating care 🤪

We are still here running hires and stuff in the background and looking to revise our stock and retail items in the next couple months once I’ve settled into work- and we have the means to invest more into the business!

We’ve been a little MIA on socials while we navigate a new demand of starting my first job as a Midwife. However we wanted to share that we have now bought our 5th Tens Machine and it has already been snatched up for hire. We have machines booked into the coming months and ask that you are hiring in your third trimester- to email us and double check we have availability- our website doesn’t currently have a way to tell you automatically that they are ‘sold out’! We usually will make it work if we can! We have updated and organised our booking calendar to reflect the new availability!

We have a machine coming back and available for hire from next week and limited machines available in the following month or so!
