I Irfan Hashmi, see, hear, feel, and know that community pharmacies and pharmacy owners are playing a major role in our health system in South Australia despite many challenges, I believe there is an opportunity to advance our industry. As operating pharmacies for some 14 years in multiple locations including country South Australia, I believe I have a deep understanding of matters that affect the pharmacy owner’s community. I am passionate about networking and developing people to people connections. During the Pandemic I collaborated with various different community and sports organisations, conducted twenty-four flu clinics outside of the pharmacy, and provided 1200 free flu vaccines to vulnerable people in SA. I believe pharmacy owner’s collaboration and partnerships with local politicians, general practitioners and non for profit, social sporting community organisation can open more opportunities.

Proud moment for our family and community! 🇦🇺

Our story, Sobia & Irfan Hashmi, has been featured in the 2026 South Australia’s History Festival under Connections, highlighting our journey of service, community pharmacy, multicultural care, and the vision behind The Australian Pavilion Sports Museum. (South Australia’s History Festival)

Another exciting update — The Australian Pavilion Sports Museum will also be featured on 7NEWS Adelaide today, Saturday 28 March 2026, airing during the 6:00–7:00 pm evening news bulletin on Channel 7, which is also available via 7plus. (Facebook)

We feel honoured to share this journey — from healthcare to history, from community service to preserving sporting heritage.
