Meet Jane—your trusted voice and airway clinician.

With over 30 years of experience across hospital, rehabilitation, and private practice settings in Australia and the UK, Jane is a highly skilled Speech Pathologist specialising in voice and upper airway disorders. She brings deep expertise and a genuine passion for helping people reconnect with their voice as a powerful tool for communication, confidence, and wellbeing.

Jane has spent more than 16 years dedicated to voice therapy, supporting both adults and children with a wide range of concerns. She is extensively trained in evidence-based approaches including Voicecraft® and LSVT LOUD, and has particular expertise in conditions such as chronic cough, and inducible laryngeal obstruction.

Her background as a former Premier League netballer gives her unique insight into high-performance demands, making her especially well-equipped to support those with exercise-related breathing difficulties.

Jane also brings a holistic, compassionate approach to care, with additional training in counselling, mindfulness, and the Marte Meo method—supporting not just the voice, but the person behind it.

If you’re looking for experienced, personalised, and evidence-based care, Jane is here to help you achieve your voice and airway goals.

Today on World Parkinson’s Day, we want to shine a light on the people and families affected by Parkinson’s.

18,000 Australian’s are diagnosed with Parkinson’s each year. This doesn’t only impact the person with Parkinson’s, but their families and loved ones too.

Communication and swallowing are critical to maintaining meaningful relationships - having a coffee catch-up in a cafe, making a phone call and participating in the workforce. Every week in the clinic, we support people experiencing changes to swallowing, reduced voice strength and reduced speech clarity to improve their quality of life and live well with Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s doesn’t need to dull the spark of someone you care for. There is help available and we’d love to help.

Get in touch at info@adelaidevoicetherapy.com.au or give us a call on 08 8472 6123 to get started with support for voice, swallowing and communication.

Today is Swallowing Awareness Day.

Most of us take swallowing for granted - a reflex that “kicks in” 500-700 times a day. But for some people, swallowing difficulty (dysphagia) can cause significant difficulty in maintaining nutrition and safety.

Our skilled clinicians at Adelaide Voice Therapy have decades of combined experience managing complex swallowing disorders. We use in-clinic assessment as well as the gold standard Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) to establish the exact nature of the problem to guide treatment decisions.

We’d love to help you, your loved one or your patients. Please get in touch via the referral form on our website, call us on 08 8472 6123 or email info@adelaidevoicetherapy.com.au

You don’t have to have a voice disorder to come and see our clinicians! We love being part of the maintenance care for vocalists and heavy voice users who would benefit from a little “laryngeal TLC”.

Laryngeal Manual Therapy (Vocal Unloading, Laryngeal Massage) is a wonderful way to prepare for or get through a busy performance season, melt tired, tight muscles and make your voice (and swallowing sensation) feel great.

If you’d like to know more, give our friendly team a call on 8472 6123 or find more details on our website via the link in our bio.

Happy Speech Pathology Week! This year Adelaide Voice Therapy celebrated the theme of “Impact Through Communication”.

Our team tested our “communication skills” at and managed to conquer Aladdin’s Cave with just seconds to spare!

We then moved on to .bistro and enjoyed a delicious meal, giving us the opportunity to connect. Our days are spent helping people who have challenges with communication and swallowing so these are not things we take for granted and really enjoy! We were so deep in conversation that we forgot to take a team pic 🤦🏽‍♀️ Lucky our resident food photographer Melissa made sure the delectable food wasn’t missed!

It was also fabulous to connect with others working in the field of Head & Neck Cancer at the Australian & New Zealand Head & Neck Cancer Society Workshop on Prehab to Rehab.

It’s been a busy week! But it’s truly a privilege to work alongside this fabulous team 👏🏻 We love what we do and we are honoured to care for the patients who trust us with their care.

The Australia New Zealand Head & Neck Cancer Society Annual Scientific Meeting is in town!

Some of our Adelaide Voice Therapy team, Mel, Aisling and Miriam have spent the day with speech pathologists, physios, dietitians, nurses, psychologists and oncologists discussing Prehab to Rehab for Head and Neck Cancer patients.

It was inspiring to hear from speakers covering everything from lymphoedema management, malnutrition, swallowing therapy, mucositis and manual therapy.

We’re looking forward to exploring applying what we’ve learned to help more patients in the clinic.
