When Father Tuohy died in 1996, it seems that Ron Jay took charge as Director for Stella Maris Adelaide sometime afterwards. Ron had previously been an ‘offsider’ to Father Tuohy for a few years. Ron eventually handed the Directorship over to Richard Lloyd before moving up to Queensland. Ron Jay died in Queensland in 2010.
We have had a handful of Directors since Richard Lloyd retired in 2008. Tim Taylor was the first of them. Peter Moore took up the position next. Greville Knight was the next Director. Since Greville, we have had Tim Taylor and Ian Keane as Acting Directors, and Centre Manager.

Sr Mary showed us how they look after the seafarers, providing them with snacks and drinks after hours, and they have an air conditioned container style bus stop 🚏 where a bus run by mission to seafarers collect them at 1pm or just after. The two missions work well together jn Sydney.
