What They Do

Disability to Ability SA provides supports and activities that focus on wellbeing, independence, and inclusion. Their services are tailored to individual goals and can be funded under different parts of an NDIS plan. Key services include:

Animal-Assisted Experiences – hands-on sessions with goats, sheep, horses, dogs, chickens, and bees on the farm. Community Gardening – learning to grow herbs, succulents, and vegetables while connecting with nature. Group Activities & Social Programs – such as art and craft classes (tie-dye, gem art, mosaics, resin, candle making), sports sessions (AFL, tennis, fitness), and community lunches. Support Work – one-on-one or small group supports to help people in their daily lives and community participation. Unique Approach

Strong farm-to-fresh and nature-based focus – participants spend time outdoors with animals, gardens, and open spaces. Our vision is at the heart of everything we do. It guides the way we support people, the decisions we make, and the standards we hold ourselves to every day.

Having a clear vision is important to us because it keeps us focused on what truly matters, empowering individuals, building meaningful connections, and creating positive outcomes for the people and communities we support. It reminds us why we do what we do and helps us continue to grow with purpose and integrity.

Our Art Program runs weekly from our Smithfield office hub, offering something new to learn each session. To us, it’s more than just creating art — it’s about expressing your personality and bringing your ideas to life.

In a supportive social group environment, you’ll build friendships and connections that can last a lifetime. Each activity is guided step-by-step, whether it’s glass engraving, wood burning, painting, or something new. No matter your skill level, everyone walks away having learned something meaningful.

Personalised mugs were definitely the favourite activity of the week. Each participant creating something that truly reflected their personality and style. Everyone was given a template to help guide their design, and from there, they learned each step of the process — from carefully weeding the vinyl to preparing the design for heat transfer.

Watching the colours infuse onto the mugs and seeing everyone’s creativity come to life was a highlight for the whole group. It was a fun, hands-on activity that gave everyone a sense of pride in creating something unique to take home.
