Pop psychology is not psychology.
Pop psychology simplifies, generalizes, and often sells quick fixes—catchy slogans, listicles, and “one-size-fits-all” advice. It can be entertaining, even motivating, but it isn’t the same as the science of psychology.

Psychology, as a discipline, is built on research, evidence, and critical thinking. It’s about understanding behavior, cognition, and emotion in all their complexity—not reducing them to clichés.

So while pop psychology might spark curiosity, real psychology requires depth, nuance, and humility.
