March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. 💛

Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. It can cause severe pelvic pain, fatigue, heavy bleeding, and fertility challenges, affecting around 1 in 9 people assigned female at birth in Australia.

There’s been more talk in the media recently about endometriosis, shining a light on the challenges faced by those living with it. There’s been a growing focus on improving access to care, reducing wait times, and providing greater support. The Australian Government has been expanding specialised endometriosis and pelvic pain clinics, funding dedicated centres across the country to complement existing hospital services.

This month is about raising awareness, listening to lived experiences, and advocating for earlier diagnosis, better support, and more equitable access to care for everyone affected by endometriosis in Australia. 💛

If you have endometriosis and want to discuss your fertility options, we’re here to support you.
