Happy IDPWD! 🙌

This International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD), we celebrate all of the incredible people across the world who have a disability. One in five people, or 5.5 million people in Australia are living with disability.

This years IDPWD theme is “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress” highlighting the importance of things like inclusive workplaces, accessible design and community support for an inclusive society.

Spend an afternoon volunteering at Food on the Table with us! 🥦

Our founder Stevan had the great opportunity to volunteer at Food on the Table last Thursday. The room was filled with so many likeminded people lending a hand and chopping up veggies, supporting those in need of a good meal.

We are so lucky to have Steven as a member of our disability support team. He’s genuine, reliable, and has an amazing way of connecting with the participants he supports. Steve’s journey to joining our team, alongside the support of the WISE Employment crew, has been truly inspiring.

Thank you to the team at WISE for sharing Steve’s story, and for supporting him to gain employment in a role that he truly shines in. He’s such an important part of Be Remarkable Disability Services, and we couldn’t imagine the team without him! 🐝
