Next Friday, Adelaide Metro are hosting their free Try Before You Ride event at Mawson Interchange.

If you’d like to learn more about each stage of the travel journey on an Adelaide Metro bus, this event will show you through accessibility features, safety, ticketing and more, supporting you to develop the confidence and skills to comfortably ride public transport.

One of our participant’s personal goals is to get more involved in the kitchen and cook more hearty meals, so we did just that! 🥘

During his last respite trip with us, he rolled up his sleeves and cooked a delicious, veggie-packed stew for himself and his support worker. Not only was it tasty, but it was a great step towards building independence, skills, and confidence.

We love to see our participants reach their goals, well done! 🎉

The City of Playford is hosting The Celebration of Ability event on Friday 28th November at the Playford Civic Centre. They will be unveiling a fantastic lineup of live entertainment, creative performances and visual art, showcasing local SA creatives with disability.

Hi everyone! We’re expanding our team and looking for experienced, passionate, and reliable support workers to join us across Adelaide’s southern, western, and northern suburbs.

We currently have 25–30 hours available, to be shared among several new team members.

If you’re passionate about supporting people to live their best lives and meet the criteria below, we’d love to hear from you!

Requirements:
✅ Previous experience working in the disability or community services field
✅ English as a first language
✅ Current and relevant clearances
✅ Willingness to travel between locations
✅ Open to ongoing learning and development
✅ Ability to connect and engage with a diverse range of participants

Our participant had a blast during his respite trip last week! We had the opportunity to get out into the community and visit some exciting places, while also working on some personal and NDIS goals during the fun 🤩

We had a blast visiting this year’s DAL Expo

It was great to have the chance to chat with the team at Cara, Carers SA and so many other great organisations doing great work within the disability space here in SA.
