This week (April 10-15) is World Music Therapy Week! Thank you to all of the registered music therapists for doing such remarkable work to support people through the power of music 🎶

Music therapy is an evidence-based allied health profession delivered by registered music therapists that support people across the community in places like hospitals, aged care and disability services.

The music support services we provide at Be Remarkable Disability Services can work alongside the incredible things that registered music therapists do to support people with making connections within themselves, with others and with the world around them.

📣 Calling all job-hunting support workers and mentors - we have an opening for a casual disability support worker to join our team! 📣

If you're looking for a fulfilling role where you have the opportunity to support multiple participants in living remarkable lives, look no further! We currently have 20–30 casual hours available supporting clients in the Northern and Western suburbs, dependent on availability and client compatibility.

Must Haves
✔️ Genuine passion for supporting people living with disability
✔️ Willing to support participants with daily living tasks such as cleaning and cooking to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
✔️ Ability to connect with a diverse range of participants
✔️ Reliability and consistency
✔️ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
✔️ Working With Children Check (WWCC)
✔️ First Aid & CPR
✔️ Current driver’s licence and access to a fully insured vehicle

Desirable
✔️ Certificate III in Individual Support
✔️ Previous experience in disability support or community services
✔️ Experience working with children

Our gym visits are always a good time! 💪

We love supporting our participants to build healthy routines as they work out in the gym by helping them to set up exercise equipment and follow their tailored workout plans, so they can lead remarkable lives and improve their physical health and mental wellbeing.

These sessions aren't just for fun, they’re also great for:

For the people we support, food shopping is more than just a weekly chore. It’s an opportunity to build confidence in the community, make choices and develop everyday life skills.

Our team of support workers and mentors guide and encourage on community outings, allowing each person to take the lead at their own pace, so they can build confidence and independence while feeling safe and supported.
