Cutting out certain foods can absolutely help in the short term.
Sometimes it’s necessary.
Sometimes your gut just needs a break.
But here’s the part most people aren’t told…
If the underlying gut dysfunction isn’t addressed, the intolerance often just moves somewhere else.
First it’s dairy.
Then it’s gluten.
Then it’s eggs.
Then suddenly you feel like you can’t eat anything without reacting.
Because it was never really about the food.
Food is often the trigger, not the root cause.
The real issue usually sits deeper—inflammation, dysbiosis, poor gut lining integrity, nervous system stress, or low digestive capacity.
So while short-term elimination can calm symptoms, long-term healing comes from fixing the environment inside the gut… not just removing more and more foods.
Your body isn’t meant to live on a constantly shrinking food list.
It’s meant to feel resilient, adaptable, and nourished.
If your list of “safe foods” keeps getting smaller, it might be time to look at what’s really going on underneath.
