Today, on Remembrance Day, we take a moment to reflect with heartfelt gratitude on the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who served our nation.

In quiet remembrance, we honour those who gave their lives so we might live ours in freedom.
Their legacy endures in the liberties we enjoy, the communities we strengthen, and the values we carry forward.

We remember. We honour. We are forever thankful.

Lest we forget. 🌺

Your Way Disability SA presents…

Making it Land: Strengthening Positive Behaviour Support in Practice
A collaborative professional development morning focused on practical strategies, real-world implementation, and improving outcomes for participants.
We are bringing together providers, educators, industry professionals and key stakeholders for a relaxed and practical morning focused on Positive Behaviour Support.

About the Event

We all know that writing a good behaviour support plan is only part of the job. The real challenge is making sure it actually works in practice.
This session is centred around the idea of “Making it Land” looking at how we move from plans and recommendations to meaningful, day-to-day outcomes for participants and the people supporting them.
The morning will focus on what is working, where things can fall over, and how we can strengthen implementation across different settings.

What You’ll Get Out of It

Practical ideas you can take straight back into your role
Insight into how others in the sector are approaching implementation
Exposure to tools and technology supporting Positive Behaviour Support
Honest discussion about challenges and what actually helps
The opportunity to connect with others doing similar work

Who It’s For

This session is suited to people working in and around Positive Behaviour Support, including:
PBS Practitioners
Support Coordinators and Psychosocial Recovery Coaches
Allied Health Professionals
Disability providers and team leaders
Educators supporting people with complex needs

What to Expect

This is not a lecture-style session.
It will be a collaborative morning with:
Shared discussion
Practical examples
Opportunity to contribute and ask questions
We have an Authorising Officer from the Restrictive Practices Unit attending, along with experienced practitioners from across South Australia.

Morning Tea

A relaxed morning tea will be provided, with tea and coffee available throughout the session.

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month

Brain injuries can change lives in an instant, and many survivors face challenges that aren’t always visible. This month is about raising awareness, supporting survivors and their families, and promoting understanding in our communities.

Take a moment to learn, share, and show support. Every bit of awareness makes a difference. 💙

✈️ On the road again for Positive Behaviour Support

Our PBS Practitioners Bella and Lee-Ann are heading from Adelaide to Melbourne today to deliver team training and connect face to face with some of our Melbourne participants and support teams.

Building strong relationships, sharing knowledge, and supporting quality practice on the ground is a big part of what we do at Your Way Disability SA. We’re proud to see our team travelling interstate to ensure participants and providers receive consistent, high quality support wherever they are.

Safe travels, Bella and Lee-Ann.
