DRY SKIN BRUSHING ⭐️
supports lymphatic drainage and clearance, to support immune system, support circulatory system, reduce inflammation. The lymphatic system is a network of vessels in the body that carries lymph (immune fighting cells) through the body, promoting detoxification and removal of toxic wastes.
Dry skin brushing is not vigorous exfoliating, this treatment only requires gentle circular motions to be effective. It is normal for the skin to turn a gentle pink/ flushed colour.
Do not brush over any skin irritations, burns, open wounds, sun burn, rashes

Method:
~ using small circular motions brush following the lymph channel drainage patterns
~ begin from extremities moving inward and upward toward the heart where lymph fluid can re-enter the bloodstream following circulatory system
~ takes 15-20 minutes
~ firstly brush the nodes into which an area drains into, to open them ready for adequate clearance, 7 circular motions of the armpits and groin
~ Open the armpits, followed by working the hands, wrists, arms, chest, back, sides of trunk all towards the armpits
~ Open the groin (inner/ upper thigh), followed by the feet, legs, buttocks all towards the groin
~ lastly the abdomen, bushing in circular motions following a clockwise direction following the large intestine
~ followed with a warm shower, and moisturise skin
~ hydrate
~ repeat weekly

Are you feeding DISEASE or HEALTH when you choose what to put in your body ?

** NOTE** every meal you get a new choice regardless of past choices, every bite you have a choice to consume nutrient dense Whole Foods to feed you health. Or processed/ fried/ sugar dense/ nutrient lacking “food” …. I put food in “” bc this processed factory man made substances aren’t food being filled with additives, preservatives, emulsifiers, chemicals, sugars etc. They taste good for immediate pleasure but they feed inflammation and disease.

& not too feel guilty or negative with the choice you make. It’s about setting up a lifestyle that majority of your choices are feeding the right outcome. If you indulge at a dinner / party / social event that’s okay. If you’re making a choice to feed health, you want majority of your plate filled with real food. That’s what will drive your outcome, not that one meal that you feel is “bad”

Insulin resistance is when your body cells don’t respond efficiently to insulin, glucose then doesn’t enter the cells to use as energy & thus builds up in the blood resulting in high blood sugar levels. Long term this may lead to diabetes, as well as contribute to the hormonal condition PCOS.

Adrenal fatigue isn’t a recognised diagnosis but the symptoms are real and you can learn how your body is, or isn’t, coping with your stress load by listening to your symptoms…

Adrenal glands are responsible for regulating the hormone cortisol. It’s an important hormone for our bodies functionality, normally higher in the morning to help balance energy, and slowly declines throughout the day preparing for sleep at night. Under prolonged stress, the adrenals can become fatigued at regulating this cortisol release leading to an array of symptoms.

🔺Stress = rises cortisol, enter fight/ flight mode, insert coping mechanism & safety removing stress, body returns to normal homeostasis.
🔺Stress isn’t removed = body remains in alarm stage
🔺Prolonged stress = inflammation & exhaustion stage

Prolonged stress & anxiety (all to often seen in today’s society of hustle culture) won’t allow your nervous system to return to homeostasis. Remaining in an alarm state our bodies enter distress mode. This stress & inflammation response spills into other body systems mainly in fatigue (symptoms listed above).
Contributed to by poor diet, overuse of stimulants and lack of exercise.
Here we enter the exhaustion phase (mental breakdown) of DIS-ease.
Whilst in an alarm state, our bodies try to find safety, in result decreasing ovulation, hormone imbalances (hello pms, irregular bleeds, period pain, acne), digestive function is decreased (hello digestive upset, bloating, gas, constipation/diarrhoea, decreasing healthy microbiome allowing a space for opportunistic bacteria over growth).

▫️Stress relief is integral to healing this exhaustion phase & support your adrenals to cope with any increased load of stress.
