20 Year a Chiro

This month marks the timeframe of being in chiropractic practice for 20 years. It’s been 15 years in Salisbury!!Where in the world did this go?

Thinking back both personally and professionally so much has changed. I am certainly doing and thinking differently today that’s for sure. Could I have envisaged the future me in 2006 net 20 years later… some things yes but others hell no! Life has its surprises!

So do I give it a tick? Definitely. There’s always a heap of things that you wish you could change but it’s been overwhelmingly great.

Chiropractic has been so good to me. It lead me to my life’s legacy, wife and family, living overseas, great lifestyle, holidays, friendships and more. To be fair it’s shaped my life. I enjoy it everyday. It even somehow dropped me in exactly the right time and place to be part of starting a Chiropractic College. I didn’t see that one coming!

So that’s the past and present, what holds for the future? Haha who the hell knows but I’m sure it will surprise me again. I wonder how long I will stay in practice… 30, maybe 40 years! Could I ever even stop? TBA on that one.

Thanks to all that contributed to the last 20 years and those particuarly in our Salisbury practice.

This week Dr Hayden received a lovely gift from a chiropractor in the US named Dr Brain Dooley. Dr Dooley teaches chiropractic philosophy at the Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina.

Recently when Dr Dooley was in Australia speaking at a conference in Adelaide, Hayden decided a crows scarf would be a fitting gift! 🐦‍⬛

Well, in the mail this week arrived a South Carolina college football scarf for the Clemson Tigers!

Guess we have another Clemson fan now too! 🐯

5 years ago in 2020, right before the Covid border lockdowns I took the entire team for an all expenses paid long weekend trip away to the Gold Coast. We had an absolute blast and was just rewards for all the teams effort and commitment.

Today I returned to the scene of the crime at Movie World with my family. Today reminded me of that trip and all the laughs we had.

Thank you to everyone who changed their appointments away from Thursday this week to allow me more family time! Really appreciate it 🙏🏻😊

Over the weekend Dr Hayden spent his time in Brisbane at the Elements Chiropractic seminar learning from the masters and sharing time with some of Australia’s great chiropractors!

After 11 years with Spinecare, it’s time to sign off both online and in practice, as of today I’ve officially said goodbye. It’s been a privilege to spend so many years at Spinecare, surrounded by all the wonderful practice members.

I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye in person (I was off on a big USA adventure when everything changed!), but I want to thank each and every one of you who shared your smiles, stories, and days with me over the past decade.

It’s been such a privilege to be part of your health journeys, your families, and your everyday lives — and to help keep our little community connected through Spinecare’s social media.

Although I’m closing this chapter, I’m still a local — so I’ll continue to bump into many of you around town!

Thank you for the kindness, laughter, and memories. 😊
