Hi, I’m Putu 👋🏻

I am a remedial massage therapist currently treating out of

I came into this work because I am genuinely interested in how the body holds tension and how pain is often connected to stress, load, and the nervous system. My approach is clinical, but always guided by what I observe, feel, and hear from you on the day.

Many of the people I see come in feeling tight, guarded, or run down. I often notice shallow breathing, held shoulders, or bodies that have been bracing for a while. I work in a way that helps the body soften, breathe more freely, and move with less resistance.

I do not follow a fixed routine or rush treatments. Each session is tailored to what your body actually needs at that moment.

I have Saturday appointments available on 31 January 2026 at Muscle Sense.

If this resonates with where your body is at right now, bookings are available via the link in bio.

I look forward to working with you.

Thank you Ivan!

A lot of upper body tension I see isn’t just stiffness. It’s a subtle forward holding of the shoulders, like the front of the body needs protecting.

This is something I’ve been noticing more in my clinic.

Not tight muscles, but a body that’s still bracing.

The interesting part is when that holding starts to change. In many cases, the first real shift happens with slow, light contact through the drape, before I even uncover the back.

Thank you Mathew!

Does your back feel better for a few days… then the tension creeps back?

At Usadha in Norwood, I work with recurring patterns of tension and pain—not just the sore spot on the day. Each remedial session combines precise clinical work with a calm, nervous-system‑aware space so your body can actually let go.

If your body is holding on and quick fixes haven’t lasted, secure your spot now via the link in bio.

Back pain is rarely just a tight muscle or a single bad movement.
Most ongoing back pain involves protection, fatigue, and reduced options in the nervous system.
A few things worth remembering: Pain does not always mean damage
Constant bracing can keep pain going
Short term relief is not the same as lasting change
Backs improve when they can move and rest, not when they are forced into perfect posture
Bodywork helps most when it restores safety rather than applying force
If your back keeps flaring up, it is often because your body has learned to protect.
Change happens when the system feels safe enough to let go of that protection.
Save this and come back to it the next time your back acts up.

Pain is not the same as injury.

Injury refers to tissue damage.
Pain is an output of the nervous system. You can have tissue damage with very little pain.

You can also experience significant pain with no ongoing damage.

They’re related, but they are not the same thing.

When pain persists, it’s often less about something being “wrong” with the tissue and more about protection. The nervous system may increase sensitivity when it perceives ongoing threat, uncertainty, repeated stress, or reduced tolerance to load.

This response is adaptive.
Even when it becomes limiting.
Effective therapy doesn’t argue with pain or try to override it.

It works by changing the conditions that require protection; improving how load is distributed, restoring confidence in movement, and reducing perceived threat.

When safety and capacity increase, pain often reduces as a consequence.

This is the clinical lens behind how we work at Usadha.

A lot of people think their nervous system needs fixing.
Or resetting.
Or overriding.

Most of the time, it doesn’t.

What looks like “dysregulation” is often a nervous system that has adapted to stress, pain, or unpredictability.

The work isn’t about forcing calm.
It’s about building enough safety and capacity that the body no longer needs to stay on high alert.

That kind of change is rarely dramatic.
But it’s durable.

Hi, I’m Putu 👋

Over the past year, I’ve been on a journey of studying remedial massage therapy and exploring how bodywork can support not just the body, but also the mind and nervous system.

From that journey, Usadha was born.
Usadha is more than a massage service, it’s a space designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and feel safe in your own body. My approach blends the clinical foundations of remedial massage with a calm, nurturing experience that helps regulate stress and create lasting change.

I’m currently working with clients here in Adelaide and excited to share more about this path as it unfolds.

Follow along as I share this journey, and if you’d like to experience Usadha yourself, I’d love to hear from you.💆‍♂️🌿
