Today I hosted my second IWD Retreat 🩵
It was extra special because I had my 2 little sidekicks in tow. They like to role play being a Nutritionist at home on their pretend laptops, I know they’re watching everything I do.
Thank you so much to everyone who came along & a special thank you to for allowing me to use the studio - you are a real life angel (even when you are making my muscles sore) 😘
I wrote this to share about why I created this event.
Today we acknowledge International Women’s Day — a day that recognises the strength, resilience, and contributions of women all around the world.
It is a day to celebrate progress, but also a day to reflect on the invisible work that women carry every day — caring for families, supporting communities, holding households together, and often putting everyone else’s needs before their own.
In conversations about health and nutrition, this matters. Because so often women are not just feeding themselves — they are feeding partners, children, parents, and sometimes entire communities. Food becomes another responsibility added to an already full mental load.
Today is a reminder that your health matters too.
Your time matters.
Your energy matters.
Taking small steps to care for your body, nourish yourself, and create habits that support your wellbeing is not selfish — it is powerful.
When women feel supported, nourished, and empowered, it doesn’t just benefit them.
It strengthens families, communities, and future generations.
So today, as we recognise the achievements and strength of women everywhere, I hope you leave here remembering one simple thing:
You deserve the same care and nourishment that you so often give to everyone else.
