Got questions about Tailored Learning? We’ve got answers. 💬

If your teenager is finding school hard right now, support is available.

Our Tailored Learning program (formerly FLO) supports students in Years 8 – 12 who are disengaged from school or facing barriers that make regular attendance difficult. It’s flexible, personalised, and built around each young person’s wellbeing, strengths and goals.

We often hear the same questions from parents: Will my child stay enrolled? Do they need a diagnosis? What does support actually look like?

Swipe along below to get answers to these questions and more.

Tailored Learning works alongside schools and families, offering one-on-one mentoring, flexible learning options, wellbeing support and clear pathways beyond school, with support that continues during school holidays.

Swipe through to learn more, and if this feels like it could help your child, we encourage you to start a conversation with their school. 💙

Today, 13 February, marks the 18th anniversary of the National Apology.

On this day in 2008, the Australian Government formally apologised to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly the Stolen Generations, for the laws and policies that caused profound grief, suffering and loss through forced child removal and assimilation.

The Apology followed the Bringing Them Home report, which documented the lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Through powerful testimony and submission, the inquiry revealed lifelong consequences: families separated for decades, parents who never stopped searching for their children, and communities carrying deep and ongoing trauma. It also recognised that many others were unable to share their experiences due to trauma, distance or fear.

While the Apology could not erase the harm of the past, it marked an important step toward acknowledgement, healing, and national truth-telling.

Today, Sonder remembers the Stolen Generations, honours their strength and resilience, and reaffirms our commitment to listening, learning, and walking together toward justice and reconciliation.

09/02/2026

Sonder has been selected by SA Health to deliver a new Crisis Stabilisation Centre at the Lyell McEwin Hospital Precinct in Adelaide’s north.

This new 16-bed service will be open 24/7, 365 days a year, providing a safe, supportive and home-like environment for people experiencing mental health distress – as an alternative to going to an Emergency Department.

This is a big step forward for mental health care in Adelaide’s north, and we’re honoured to be delivering this important service in close partnership with SA Health and the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network - NALHN.

The centre has been co-designed with people who have lived experience, and will be staffed by a caring team of peer practitioners, mental health clinicians, Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Workers, multicultural workers, and medical staff.

It will be co-located with the Northern Adelaide Medicare Mental Health Centre, helping people move seamlessly between crisis support and ongoing care.

📍 Relocation update: As part of this project, the Northern Adelaide Medicare Mental Health Centre will relocate from Gillingham Road, Elizabeth, to the new facility on Oldham Road.

We‘ll continue to share updates as planning progresses, so stay tuned and follow us for the latest.

Are you taking part in febfast this February?

febfast is a powerful challenge from Lifeline: 28 days alcohol-free to boost your energy, improve sleep, and raise funds for 24/7 crisis support and su***de prevention services.

For some people, taking a break from alcohol feels achievable. For others, it can bring up questions or worries, especially if alcohol has been a coping tool.

If you or someone you care about needs extra support to stop drinking safely, Sonder offers a confidential In-Home Withdrawal Service, with compassionate clinical care in the comfort and privacy of home. You can learn more about this service at sonder.net.au/in-home-withdrawal-service.

Whether you’re doing febfast for your wellbeing, for the cause, or just curious about support options, help is available, and reaching out is a sign of strength. 💙

Our In-Home Withdrawal Service is funded by the Federal Government Department of Health & Aged Care.

🎉 Febfast starts today 🎉

This month, by choosing to go booze-free you can help Lifeline support people in crisis when they need it most.

Every alcohol-free day helps fund vital services and reminds people they’re not alone.

It's not too late to join the thousands of Australians skipping the sip.
