This weekend has truly reminded me just how incredible my team at JL42 Ladybirds are. 💛🐞

Over Easter, while many were spending time relaxing with loved ones, our team has been by the side of one of our most treasured participants during a very difficult and uncertain time. It has been touch and go, but she is doing okay, and we are all hoping for a smooth and speedy recovery, still a long road ahead of us.

What we do has never just been a job — it’s love, it’s compassion, it’s friendship… it’s family. The care, dedication, and heart that each and every one of my staff shows is something you simply can’t teach.

I am honestly so blessed to have the best team in the world. Thank you for everything you do, today and every day. 💫

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day🐞

At JL42 Ladybirds, we are proud to be women supporting women. Every day we have the privilege of walking alongside so many incredible women living with disability — women who are strong, resilient, creative, brave, and beautifully unique in their own ways.

Our community is built on connection, empowerment, and respect. We believe every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, valued, and supported to live a life that feels meaningful and joyful to her.
Today we honour the women we support, the women in our team, and women everywhere who continue to inspire change, kindness, and strength in the world.
To the amazing women in our Ladybirds family — you are powerful, you are valued, and you are never alone. 🐞💜

🌡️ Extreme Heat 🐞

As we continue to face this extreme hot weather, please remember to keep an eye out for those who may need a little extra support — our neighbours, friends , family, and anyone who may be struggling. A quick message or check-in can mean more than you realise.

Just as important, don’t forget to look after yourself. Drink plenty of water, eat those ice-blocks, rest when needed, keep cool, and ask for help if things feel overwhelming. Self-care is not selfish ❤️

And let’s not forget our pets 🐾 Make sure they have shade, fresh water, and a cool place to rest. Never leave animals in hot cars or enclosed spaces.

Together, we can look after one another and get through this — with kindness, care, and community and of course ice-blocks 🐞💛

🎄 Merry Christmas to my beautiful Ladybirds 🎄

As Christmas wraps us in its warmth, I just want to take a moment to say how deeply grateful I am for every single one of you. JL42 Ladybirds is not just support, it’s a family. A safe space for women, where strength, kindness, understanding, and resilience live every single day.

Somedays we can feel lonely, heavy, or unseen, but together we remind each other that we are never alone. You all show up with compassion, honesty, laughter, and support to each other and that is something truly special.

If I haven’t told you already , did you know a group of ladybirds is called a loveliness? I can’t think of a better word to describe us all. You are a loveliness of courage, empathy, and unstoppable women who lift each other up even on the hardest days.

You are all amazing, just as you are.

Wishing you all peace, comfort, love, and gentle moments this Christmas. May the new year bring hope, strength, and many reminders of how valued you truly are. 🐞✨
