It’s Friday, and we love ending the week by sharing another great story.

Meet Aiyana

Aiyana has recently taken an exciting step forward by starting her barista course, and already her confidence and skills are flourishing. What began as an interest is quickly becoming a pathway toward meaningful employment.

From learning how to craft the perfect coffee to stepping confidently into a brand‑new environment, Aiyana is building more than just technical skills she is building belief in herself and her future.

Stories like Aiyana’s remind us that when the right support meets determination, incredible things happen.

We are so proud to be part of this journey and can’t wait to see where it takes her next.

Participant Success Story
We are so proud to share that our participant Kaitee at Ancora National has just reached her 6 month milestone at Uniting SA!

Kaitee came to Ancora National seeking support to find employment, and through collaborative planning, ongoing support, and a focus on her wellbeing, we were able to help her secure meaningful work while ensuring she remains happy and fulfilled.

Kaitee is absolutely loving her role, thriving in the workplace, and her dedication has already been recognised, she has been offered the opportunity to move into permanent part‑time or full‑time employment.

Kaitee is currently deciding what path best suits her, which is an incredible position to be in.

As we always say, show your dedication at work and the results will come.

We couldn’t be prouder of Kaitee and we look forward to seeing many more amazing steps in her journey ahead

A Great Wednesday Calls for a Great Story!

Today we are excited to share an inspiring achievement from one of our amazing participants, Leon

For the past 1.5 years, Leon has been working towards a very important goal obtaining his driver’s licence. Leon understands that gaining employment and independence often means stepping outside our comfort zones and doing things that aren’t always easy.

With the ongoing support of our dedicated support workers, Leon focused on building his confidence, learning that it’s okay to take things slowly, and most importantly, never give up. Progress doesn’t always happen fast, but persistence truly pays off.

After 1.5 years of determination, encouragement, and resilience, Leon has officially achieved his goal!

He is now able to drive himself to and from work and absolutely loves the freedom and independence that comes with it being able to go wherever he needs, when he needs.

Leon specifically asked for his story to be shared to encourage others. He openly shared that there were moments when he thought achieving this goal might not be possible but with the right supports, encouragement, and belief, goals can be achieved.

At Ancora National, we are proud to walk alongside our participants every step of the way celebrating progress, big and small.

Well done, Leon! Your journey is proof that persistence leads to success.

Tyler and Vashek headed out into the community to try something new fishing.

It was all about building confidence, learning new skills, and enjoying time together outside of the workplace.

At Ancora National, we believe that growth doesn’t stop when the workday ends.

Whether it’s employment or community activities, every experience is an opportunity to build independence, discover new interests, and most importantly have fun.

Well done to Tyler and Vashek for giving something new a go and making the most of their weekend in the community.

Last week, Vashek and our superstar participant Darcy headed out to the Adelaide Fringe to see The Wilbury Twist one of Darcy’s absolute favourite shows.
