Happy New Year! We are all back in the clinic this week, excited to meet with clients and families to discuss goals for 2026!

This year we welcome Ryan, Rosie, Lottie and Lisa to the team, and have spent time getting to know each other better through our new staff induction day, CPR refresher and of course while sharing some good food!

We are all looking forward to the year ahead!

Relate Therapy Services is now closed for the Christmas break, reopening January 12th🎄

We spent our final work day having a team celebration at Manna, McLaren Vale followed by Secret Santa in the park and a hilarious impromptu team game of Telestrations - there are some talented artists amongst the therapists!🧑‍🎨

We wish everyone a peaceful, safe and relaxing break and we look forward to seeing you all in 2026!🎄

This week Directors, Anita and Larissa are in Perth for the Asia Pacific Autism Conference!

Presentations so far have included affirming discussions about meeting each individual where they are, while supporting them to reach their true potential - a philosophy so important to us at Relate Therapy Services.

Anita and Larissa look forward to returning to Adelaide to share the latest evidence based intervention with the Relate team.

Happy OT Week from the Relate Therapy Services Occupational Therapists: Jasmine, Emma and Nikki! This year’s theme, “Occupational Therapy in Action” reminds us of the creativity, problem-solving, and compassion that OTs bring to their practice.

Our OTs work with children, adolescents and adults to achieve what’s important for each individual.

We look forward our OT team growing in 2026 when therapist Lottie joins us at Relate! 😊 🥳

On Friday night we attended the Hopgood Theatre Gala Opening. What a fabulous night of music, and a fitting celebration of all the hard work put into saving this wonderful local theatre at Noarlunga Centre!

Hopgood Theatre is continuing to offer free behind the scenes backstage tours - we highly recommend going to have a look and supporting our local performing arts centre 👉 http://hopgoodtheatre.com.au

We are sure there are a number of budding young performers amongst us who will have many great experiences at this local theatre in the years to come! 🎭🎶

The past 2 months have been busy with learning and development for all of us at Relate Therapy Services! 📚👩🏼‍🏫

A large group of us visited Melbourne in June for a social skills training day, Michelle and Isabella attended the full Speech Pathology Australia Conference in Adelaide, Larissa & Kaitlin completed the Identifying Developmental Language Disorder workshop, and the Speech Sound Disorders workshop by “Adventures in Speech Pathology” was also attended. In addition, Ashleigh and Nikki recently represented Relate at Uni SA’s OT Careers Fair.

All of this, in combination with a staff development morning in the office and online learning via webinars has all contributed to our ongoing commitment to life-long learning. We look forward to sharing all our new knowledge throughout our therapy sessions 😊
