One of our incredible practitioners Eliza is fundraising for an important cause and one that is very dear to her heart.

On the 28th December, together with her family, she will run 21km (a half marathon) in a bid to raise money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease - a disease that sadly took Eliza's Grandpa earlier this year.

Click the link below to donate and support Eliza to raise crucial funds for MND research.

We'd also love for you to like this post and comment with some words of encouragement for Eliza so she can see your support - it will mean the world to her!

I'm raising money for a cause close to my heart and would love your support.

It's been a HUGE year at the EP. EP. Studio with the opening of our second studio to welcoming talented new team members, and celebrating engagements, new babies and uni graduations!

To all of our clients - from those who joined us for the first time this year to those who have been with us from the begining (yes... there are a number of you still showing up each week who remember when it was just me in the studio at Clarity) - a HUGE thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with your exercise and movement, your niggles and health concerns, for allowing us to show you how strong you are, for supporting a women-led business and being our biggest marketing tools (honestly, your word of mouth and referrals are invaluable).

A big thank you to all the behind the scenes helpers this year - there have been quite a few! Family + friends who have helped clean, build, move, coordinate and maintain. All the things that meant we could open a second studio space (...and move it) while I was deep in the trenches of having a new baby.

To my team, it is a privilege to work alongside a team of women who are strong, resilient, deeply caring and passionate about exercise. I've seen each of you thrive and excel both in and out of the Studio this year. I'm so proud of all the hard work and care you put into your work and ensuring our Studio spaces continue to feel safe, supportive and empowering. Team work makes the dream work and.... this team is the dream, my endless thanks.

Wishing everyone a beautiful festive season, we are excited to welcome you back into our studio spaces in 2026.

Audrey and the Saturday 9:15am STRONG crew went all in on the Christmas theme for their final class of the year.

Santa hats, reindeer ears, tinsel hair ties and festive tees filled the room — and yes, they stayed on for the entire workout! But the showstopper was Audrey, who arrived dressed as a full Christmas tree. She was so committed she even demonstrated every exercise in costume. Now that’s dedication!

We ran two rounds of Strength Testing this year in April and September/October and had some truly incredible results that we wanted to share.

In April, we had 37 clients (a mixture of men and women) test their 1RM across deadlifts, overhead press and squats. The top results were:
David - 130kg deadlift
Jacqui - 122.5kg squat
Laura - 120kg squat
Phillip - 36kg overhead press

In September/October, we had 20 clients participate (all women!). The top results were:
Jacqui -135kg squat
Jill - 80kg deadlift
Elaine - 80kg squat
Laura - 45kg overhead press

Congratulations to everyone who participated in strength testing! Stay tuned for our strength testing sessions in 2026...and if you didn't participate this year, may the 2025 results inspire you to give it a go next year!

This short YouTube clip brilliantly captures why women need to strength train for their bones.

In this conversation, Steven Bartlett speaks with Dr Stacy Sims about how oestrogen shapes a woman’s ability to maintain muscle and bone through midlife. This clip explores why bone loss accelerates during perimenopause, the cellular mechanisms involved, and why early action can make such a difference. Stacy outlines the benefits of heavy lifting, impact work, and multidirectional loading, describing how these signals drive bone to adapt. We also hear why baseline bone density testing is worth considering long before conventional guidelines suggest, and how HRT can work alongside training to support bone health.

Exercising in summer isn't just about drinking more water.

When you sweat, your body loses key salts, electrolytes and minerals, which can't be replaced just by drinking water.

This is why we love the Sodii Hydration sugar-free electrolyte products that we stock in the Studio - they contain all the electrolytes you need to thrive in one little sachet, making it the perfect way to hydrate when combined with water.

As we come into the summer months, this is a great post-recovery tool to add to your exercise routine. But Sodii has multiple uses and benefits beyond re-hydrating post exercise - you can also drink it before/after coffee (yes coffee acts as a natural diuretic that increases water and salt loss from your kidneys!), as a cognitive pick-me-up in the afternoon instead of caffeine, first thing in the morning if you wake up feeling dehydrated, or even when you're sick!

Check out our great range of Sodii products the next time you're in the Studio.

This month, we're bringing a little bit of silly and a whole lot of fun to our classes to celebrate all things Christmas.

Think sleigh-lifts (deadlifts), reindeer rows, Santa squats, and ho-ho hamstring curls.

Bring the fun, bring your guns💪, and bring your puns!

Perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause are important health topics for women of ALL ages to be aware of. Read on below to find out more about the difference between these stages and what it means for your body.

❤ Perimenopause
Perimenopause is the time leading up to menopause when your body reaches the end of its reproductive years. It usually happens sometime in your 40s and lasts 4 to 6 years on average. During this time, your ovaries begin to run out of eggs, which causes hormone levels, particularly oestrogen, to change, causing symptoms such as hot flushes and mood changes. Your periods may be irregular, shorter (or longer), lighter (or heavier), or they may not come for a few months.

❤ Menopause
Menopause is the specific point in time when a woman has her last menstrual period, defined as 12 consecutive months without one. In Australia, the average age of menopause is 51. It’s normal to reach menopause between the ages of 45 and 55 years, but some women reach menopause earlier or later than this.

❤ Postmenopause
Postmenopause refers to the entire period of life after menopause has occurred. It’s especially important to look after your health postmenopause, as changes due to ageing and lower levels of oestrogen can increase your risk of developing:
* Osteoporosis
* Weak pelvic floor muscles
* Risk factors for heart disease (such as high blood pressure, an increase in cholesterol and an increase in blood fats)
* Extra body fat (especially around your belly) – this can increase your risk of health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, dementia and some cancers.

Here at the EP. EP. Studio we are experts in prescribing exercise for perimenopause, menopause AND postmenopause – more importantly, we’re experts at providing you with advice, support and guidance as you navigate these changes to your body.
