Today we celebrate International Women’s Day 🌸
Across our aged care and disability services, women play an extraordinary role every single day — as carers, nurses, support workers, leaders, advocates, family members, and community builders. Their compassion, strength, and dedication help create environments where people feel valued, supported, and empowered.
We also recognise the incredible women we support — whose resilience, stories, and achievements continue to inspire us.
On this International Women’s Day, we recognise the grandmothers, mothers, daughters and granddaughters who inspire, support, and strengthen our communities every day.
Together, let’s continue to champion respect, equality, and opportunity for all. 💜

Thank you to everyone who attended our recent information session with Legal Services Commission of South Australia on Advance Care Directives, Powers of Attorney, and Wills and Estates.
It was a valuable opportunity for our community to learn more about planning ahead, understanding legal rights, and making informed decisions about the future. We appreciate the team from Legal Services Commission of South Australia for sharing their knowledge and answering questions in such an engaging and supportive way.
Thank you to all who joined us and contributed to the discussion. We look forward to continuing to provide opportunities like this that support informed and empowered communities.

Green thumbs and big smiles all around today 🌿🌺
The Out & About clients spent the morning wandering through the beautiful displays at Virginia Nursery, taking in the colours, floral scents and variety of plants on offer.
There was plenty of chatting and even a little inspiration for future planting projects! 🌼🪴 Time spent in nature always brings a sense of calm and joy and today was no exception.
We love creating opportunities for our clients to get out into the community, explore local spaces, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

ANFE Community Care was established in Adelaide in 1961 as Associazione Nazionale Famiglie degli Emigrati Inc. by Cavaliere Ufficiale Antonio Giordano AM, and was the first committee independent of the Italian Consulate or Australian Government to provide language and employment support to newly-arriving Italians.
ANFE received its first Australian Department of Immigration grant in the late 1980s, and soon after developed a pilot project to support young people living with intellectual disabilities and their carers, titled ‘Da Noi’, meaning ‘With Us’.
As the needs of its clients changed, so did ANFE’s mission.
Today, ANFE specialises in providing Commonwealth and State Government-funded social support and aged care services.
Seven programs covered by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) are also offered, including respite for carers of intellectually disabled people.
ANFE’s strong history allows it to continue to provide opportunities to nurture the growth of diverse cultural groups within the local community, and to encourage clients to learn to live more independently through re-enablement and wellness.
