We’re pleased to share that Bedford’s Mount Gambier site has officially been secured.

We know the past period has been difficult for many in our community. Today’s announcement provides reassurance and stability for our employees, staff and families.

Most importantly — our doors remain open, jobs are secure, and our focus remains on the people who make Bedford what it is.

We thank the South Australian Government for supporting a positive outcome for Mount Gambier.

This is about community, connection and continuing the work we do together every day.

A fresh start. The same heart.

In case you missed it — our Mount Gambier Learning Hub group created a vibrant projection artwork for the Mount Gambier Fringe Festival, inspired by this year’s theme and brought to life through weeks of creativity and collaboration.

We had the chance to see it in action at the festival over the weekend, and it did not disappoint!

Seeing the piece illuminated and experienced as part of the festival atmosphere was something really special. What started as an idea in the Learning Hub has now become part of a vibrant community celebration.

We’re proud to see our clients’ work showcased in this way, contributing to something bigger and connecting with the wider community 🧡

The recent national conversation around the NDIS highlights something we see every day at Bedford.

When people are supported in the right way, they don’t just participate — they contribute.

Whether it’s through employment, skill development, or being part of a team, the right support creates opportunity, purpose, and connection.

Recent analysis from the e61 Institute reinforces this, showing increased workforce participation and improved outcomes for people with disability.

For us, it’s simple — when people are given the opportunity, they thrive.

The Mount Gambier Learning Hub has been bursting with creativity these past few weeks!

In the lead-up to this weekend’s Fringe Festival at the Cave Gardens, our Bedford artists have been busy bringing a vibrant community art piece to life. Inspired by this year’s theme Underground Unearthed, clients and support staff worked together to design The Underground Fringe — a collaborative artwork filled with detailed scenes, handcrafted bugs and flowers, and plenty of hidden surprises.

It’s been a fantastic way to build creativity, teamwork and connection, and we’re so proud of everyone who contributed. A big thank you to our talented clients, and to Louise Adams and the Fringe team for bringing this event to life for our community.

But the creativity didn’t stop there...

Our Learning Hub also took part in a hands-on workshop with Tim Goschnick, exploring the world of video architecture. Clients designed colourful projections inspired by the iconic Mount Gambier Town Hall — and you’ll be able to see these come to life after dark throughout the festival.

We can’t wait for the community to experience it all this weekend! Check out the link to the Program Guide in the comments.

Confidence, connection and learning in action!

Recently, we welcomed SACID (South Australian Council on Intellectual Disability) to our Mount Gambier Learning Hub for an engaging and interactive workshop with our Bedford clients.

The session explored personal boundaries — what they are, how they differ for each person, and how to confidently speak up when boundaries are crossed. Through hands-on activities and role play, participants built valuable skills to support their independence and self-advocacy.

A big thank you to SACID for delivering such a meaningful workshop. Opportunities like this help the people we support build confidence, strengthen their voice, and feel respected and heard.

Well… this wasn’t on the schedule this morning!

The team at Blend Creative had a surprise visitor drop in — their very own leprechaun! 🍀

No chaos (thankfully), but plenty of cheeky laughs, big smiles and a great reminder that a little bit of fun goes a long way.

Pictured is Donna from the Blend Creative team, right in the middle of the mischief — helping create the kind of workplace where personality, creativity and connection shine.

And that’s exactly what Blend Creative is all about.

Backed by Bedford, Blend delivers high-quality design, branding and creative services — all while creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability.

So when you work with Blend Creative, you’re not just getting great design…
you’re supporting something bigger.

Last week, our teams across Bedford paused to recognise and celebrate each other for Employee Appreciation Day.

Across our sites, employees and staff marked the occasion in their own way — from team lunches and morning teas to simple shout-outs between colleagues.

Because at Bedford, it’s the people around us each day — the teamwork, encouragement and shared pride in our work — that make our community so special.

Thank you to everyone who took a moment to recognise one another. 🧡
