Wowzas. It’s been a week since I launched my new venture Dizzy Izzy into the world.

I was super nervous to start sharing what I’ve been working on as it’s been in my head for so long, but growth and connection comes from vulnerability.

I absolutely love the creating part.. the hustle not so much. So a big thanks for all the support so far, every follow, YouTube subscribe and share is greatly appreciated.

It’s tough breaking through all the noise on social media, but I also don’t want to flood your feeds with too much spam.

Fresh Sprouts was my first biz baby I launched 7 years ago. It has been an enriching journey of growth and exploration and led me to where I am now.

Helloooo from the cosmos!!! It has been a wee while, but I’ve got some fun news!

I’ve just released one of my original kids music videos called ‘Connected’. Backstory in song description on YouTube.

I’ve also created my new page .au - Kids yoga, music, movement, art and play!

Fern dropped her only day nap at 19 months and decided she’d rather go to the playground and play soccer, even when it’s raining.
🤣 ⚽️🌧

3 months without naps and it doesn’t look like they are coming back anytime soon.. neither is my sanity.

On a plus, nap time is great at the playground because usually we are the only ones there.

Drop me a 🙃 emoji if you also have a no napping energiser tot. Perhaps they can form a soccer team 🤪

My home office / fireplace standing desk 🤪 - the only place I can work on my laptop for brief moments, without my toddler attacking my screen. The struggle is real.

Reigniting my creative spark, and working on my kids yoga / musical project after putting it on hold for so long.

Currently editing the songs I recorded in my bedroom under a doona cover (makeshift studio) when I was pregnant during a heatwave, then had baby and.. well doing anything other than keeping her alive seemed impossible, but here we are, having another crack at following my dreams - slowly, very slowly 😅

I haven’t been too active on here, but like many peeps at the mo, we recently had covid which was pretty crap.

I filmed this video on day 5 of iso when I felt like moving my body again and having a disco / yoga / ball party with Fern after we’d been lying on the floor in a pillow fort for days. 🪩

For anyone going through this right now, hope the cloud passes soon. 💗

This week I’ve been tying up some loose ends, and sorting out all my studio props to sell. I have made peace with the decision to close, but my wound is still open. I am grieving my business I worked so hard for and thought was in my future.

These mini deaths in life are necessary for growth and to allow new light to shine in. The biggest beam of light is my little one, showing me up on the yoga mat. She has made this process so much easier, and although I’ve lost something, I am still very much whole. When she smiles, I know everything is going to be ok.

This morning I practiced yoga for myself, not thinking about sequencing for a class, just for me. Fern threw crayons at my face and climbed all over me, but it still felt so nice.

It’s really important to me that my daughter witnesses my practice. I hope these imprints inspire her to develop her own; and when she too experiences overwhelm, stress, fear, self-doubt, sadness, anger, anxiety, she will have simple tools and her breath to guide her. 💛🙏🏼

This is a difficult post to write, but in comparison with the heaviness of the world right now, I consider myself very fortunate.

Our studio doors at will be closing this Friday. The time has come for the space to change its form.

A number of factors have led us to this point, and I am sure many small businesses can relate to the struggles we’ve experienced.

I have given the studio my all. Unfortunately I could not sustain it without running at a loss, emotionally, financially and energetically.

I am deflated, but also relieved to let go. I am going to have a breather, and give energy to some passion projects that have been buzzing in my bonnet.

Running mums & bubs and playgroup classes filled me with joy. Bonding with other families helped me in my own journey as a first time parent. The unexpected friendships have made it all worth it.

It is sad to say goodbye to classes I’ve poured my heart into, especially my Wednesday evening Hatha Yoga class I’ve been running since 2016 and some of my students feel like family.

The hardest part is disappointing our community and fabulous facilitators. Thank you to everyone who has supported us. The connections are lasting and I am so grateful.

While we say goodbye to our studio classes for now, I will keep you posted when future offerings and my online platform becomes available.

Big love to my partner in love and business , and to my wing woman / toddler Fern. They are my everything.
