Podiatry First Sports

Podiatry First Sports Podiatry First Sports Welcome to Podiatry First Sports. We are an exciting new concept that combines a running shoe store, Joggers World, with a Podiatry Clinic.

For the first time, clients of both Podiatry First Sports and Joggers World will get the benefits of having a complete range of athletic footwear to choose from with on the spot knowledge and skills of a podiatrist. We assess and treat runners and athletes of all abilities utilising the latest video gait analysis software, plus all other forms of podiatric foot care.

Are you finding it hard to get a shoe that fits perfectly for you? Often many people struggle to get the best fit for the purpose of the shoe. An assessment and shoe recommendation from a Podiatrist is a great place to start. After assessing your individual foot shape and shoe needs, we can offer a variety of suggestions from work shoes, runners/walkers, casual shoes and kid’s shoes to fit.

This month, we are getting to know our staff a little better as we asked them all: "What's something about you that we don't know?" First to respond was Podiatrist Hayley Openshaw from the team at Podiatry First Sports.
"I worked at the Commonwealth Games (Gold Coast 2018) with the Spectator Services team - leading diverse groups of volunteers to manage ticketed spectators at the Opening/Closing Ceremonies and the duration of the Athletics program at Carrara Stadium (aka Metricon Stadium). It was a 6-week contract, where I met many staff from all over the world, and even bumped into Usain Bolt (who was a spectator himself)! It was a fantastic experience and opportunity!" Thanks for sharing Hayley.

From 12.01 am 1 December 2020, all people in health care settings must wear a single-use surgical mask (covering mouth and nose) at all times when in the physical presence of other people on the premises.

All people includes:
▪️care providers
▪️patients
▪️clients
▪️residents
▪️administrative and other staff
▪️employees
▪️visitors
▪️students
▪️contractors

❗️There are exceptions for mandatory mask use in health care settings. A person is exempt where the mask will hinder the care which is being provided, there is a medical condition, communication with a person who is deaf or hard of hearing is required, the person is under 12 and the person is a live in staff member or a resident of a residential care facility.

The definition of a health care setting includes GP clinics, public and private hospitals and specialist practices (including drug and alcohol facilities), pharmacies, allied health services, dental services and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
