I was so hoping to have this sculpt on Ebay well before Christmas, but between working, other things going on in life and a couple of hiccups, it won't be happening. And I refuse to rush the process.
I also don't want to list it too close to Christmas just so it can sit in customs over the break.

I'll share more photos as I go though 😊

I have a dear follower who is patiently waiting for one of my old Aquinnah kits to become available.
If anyone has a blank kit floating around and wishes to part with it, please let me know so I can put her in contact with you!

Here's a post of my kit painted and assembled by the incredibly talented Kaleena Lincoln πŸ’—

A final coat of glazing gel gives the painted hair a little more dimension and illusion of texture.

It's so good to come across other artists who work with polymer clay and are open about the struggles when working with this clay.
This is the reminder I need.
Sculpting over the last 20 years has taught me much about myself, that I am tenacious, quite resilient in pushing through the barriers...but unfortunately I'm also impatient in contrast and ready to bin a project at times, as it can be a struggle to interpret failure or a bump in the road, to just keep going.
Because when is it trusting the process and understanding these twists and turns are par of the course, and when is it just pure insanity??

Ah. The life and brain of an artist. πŸ˜’

Video; finally achieving success after weeks of an impossible cheek situation! (Thank God!)
After a lengthy final sand, the head gets a wash and rinse, ready for the next stage.
It's been so busy lately, so this one had to be shelved for a while. It feels good to have the time to focus on it again.

I just want to apologise for all the bots tagging people in the comment section. It's infuriating, I ban and delete and still they turn up!

This is what sizing arms looks like. I've tried the charts, proportions etc and it never comes out looking right, but I find my best method is just going by 'feel'.

A little sculpting progression.
