International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025: Inclusion Begins With Action

Disability is part of human diversity. Many barriers arise not from the person, but from environments that were not designed with everyone in mind. Today is a reminder that small, evidence based changes can create spaces where everyone can participate and thrive.

This year encourages us to focus on

✔️ Accessible environments in workplaces and public spaces
✔️ Clear communication that supports different needs
✔️ Inclusive physical activity and movement opportunities
✔️ Attitudes that prioritise respect, dignity and equity

It is not about doing everything perfectly. It is about consistent steps that strengthen participation, independence and quality of life for all.

As health professionals, promoting accessibility and inclusive practices helps build communities where every person is supported and valued.

On November 8, we celebrate World Radiography Day, the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen’s discovery of X-rays in 1895. His discovery revolutionized medicine by allowing clinicians to see what was once invisible: bones, tissues, and the underlying structures that shape our movement and health.

At Evidence for Exercise, “seeing beneath the surface” resonates deeply with what we do every day. Just as radiography helps reveal the source of pain or injury, evidence-based exercise helps us understand the why behind human movement, the biomechanics, physiology, and neuroscience that guide how we prescribe and progress exercise for rehabilitation.

At Evidence for Exercise, our mission continues to be translating that evidence into movement, making the unseen science behind recovery clear, applicable, and empowering

🧠 World Mental Health Day 2025

Some days our minds feel light and focused. Other days, the weight is heavier. Both are part of being human.

Today is a reminder that:

✔️ It’s okay to ask for help
✔️ It’s okay to slow down
✔️ It’s okay to put wellbeing first

Caring for mental health doesn’t always require big changes. Evidence shows that small, consistent acts — a short walk, checking in with someone you trust, or prioritising sleep — can strengthen resilience, both individually and in our communities.

Let’s commit to supporting each other with openness, compassion, and understanding.

💬 Share one small habit that helps you care for your mental health.

💺 Back Care Awareness Week 2025: Small Habits, Stronger Backs 🌟

Back pain is one of the most common health challenges, yet it often goes unnoticed until it limits daily life.
This week is a reminder that simple, evidence-based habits can help protect and strengthen your spine:

✔️ Sit well – support good posture throughout the day
✔️ Move often – break up long periods of sitting with gentle activity
✔️ Lift smart – protect your spine with proper technique
✔️ Care holistically – manage stress, sleep, and overall wellbeing

It’s not about avoiding every ache, but about supporting spinal health, mobility, and long-term quality of life.

As health professionals, guiding clients in these practical strategies helps them stay active, independent, and pain-free.

🌍 World Teachers’ Day 2025: Moving Beyond the Classroom 🏃‍♀️

Teachers do more than deliver lessons — PE teachers show that learning happens through movement too.
They help students:

✔️ Discover joy in running, jumping, and playing
✔️ Learn how to care for their bodies, not just their grades
✔️ Develop teamwork, resilience, and perseverance
✔️ Build confidence that carries into everyday life

On this World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate PE teachers for teaching lessons that last a lifetime — in health, movement, and wellbeing.

Thank you for shaping stronger students and healthier communities.

🥦 BNF Healthy Eating Week 2025: Small Steps, Meaningful Outcomes 🌱

Healthy eating and regular movement are cornerstones of better health, but modern life can make both feel challenging.

That’s why BNF Healthy Eating Week is such a valuable reminder: even small, evidence-based changes can lead to meaningful improvements in wellbeing.

This year’s challenges encouraged us to:

✔️ Choose more wholegrains
✔️ Drink plenty of water
✔️ Move daily
✔️ Care for our mental wellbeing

It’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about consistent, achievable steps that add up to better energy, stronger health, and improved outcomes over time.

As health professionals, supporting clients in these small, realistic changes can help them build healthier habits that last.

🤱 Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

This week, we’re celebrating the strength, resilience, and dedication of breastfeeding parents around the world.

Breastfeeding is powerful but it can also be exhausting, painful, and overwhelming, especially in the early days. It takes patience, support, and so much courage.

To every mum navigating feeds, sore shoulders, interrupted sleep, and the pressure to “bounce back” we see you.

At Evidence for Exercise, we believe postnatal care should honour what your body has been through. From easing pain to building strength and restoring movement, support matters and you deserve it.

This week (and every week), we stand with breastfeeding parents. You’re doing an incredible job. 💖
