Last week, we were pleased to welcome Paolo (Pao) Cardelli (Consumer Advisory Panel Chair) and Jill Naylor (newly appointed Deputy Chair) to SAHMRI.

Jill was visiting from WA and took the opportunity to meet with the ANZDATARegistry Team and tour the building. The visit provided a valuable chance to connect with the team, strengthen relationships between Consumer Advisory Panel and staff. It was also a great opportunity to explore ways to further collaborate and enhance engagement moving forward.

Thank you, Paolo and Jill, for taking the time to visit.

💚❤️💛💙 World Kidney Day 2026 (WKD) 💚❤️💛💙
Today is World Kidney Day, an important time to recognise the impact of kidney disease worldwide.
Every year, Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant Registry (ANZDATA) plays a vital role in understanding kidney health. By capturing high‑quality, comprehensive data, ANZDATA supports clinicians, researchers, health services, and communities to improve outcomes for people living with kidney disease.

Across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand:
💚More than 21,000 people rely on life‑sustaining dialysis
💛Just over 14,000 people are currently living with a kidney transplant

Behind these numbers are real people, real stories, and real challenges.
Today, we honour the kidney community and reaffirm our commitment to supporting evidence‑based, people‑centred kidney care.
