We’re thrilled to share a wonderful story from our Jobnet Murray Bridge team! πŸ™Œ

Two of our amazing clients, Faith and Kate, are both employed at Bakers Delight β€” and recently found themselves rostered on the same shift! πŸ₯–βœ¨

Faith has been part of the team for 9 months and has now stepped up to buddy Kate, who just started a week ago. It’s been so lovely to see these two working side by side, supporting each other and showing true teamwork. πŸ’ͺπŸ’›

A big thank you to Bakers Delight, one of our most loyal employers. They always say, β€œCan you please find me another Faith?” β€” because she’s been such a perfect fit for their team! πŸ‘

🌿 Weekend Adventure Recap! 🌿

Over the weekend, our Port Augusta and Whyalla participants set off for an unforgettable camp at Pichi Richi Park, Quorn, SA!

Hosted by the ever-welcoming Hamish, we enjoyed two fun-filled nights surrounded by nature β€” complete with bush walks, games, arts & crafts, karaoke, an outdoor cinema, damper-making, and more! 🎨🎀πŸ”₯🎬

A special highlight was meeting Kahran, who led a cultural awareness session, sharing local language, stories, and song β€” a truly meaningful experience for everyone. 🌾

Participants worked together to plan meals, care for their living space, and build teamwork throughout the trip. πŸ’ͺ

This camp was all about independence, new experiences, and lasting friendships β€” and our campers are already asking, β€œWhen’s the next one?” ❀️

Last week in the HI Project… participants were down at Sprout Cooking School practicing their skills and whipping up some delicious creations β€” including a fresh and light spring risotto, meatballs with couscous and zucchini, plus some fun decorating gingerbread men (and plenty of other tasty meals!).
They’re now at the halfway point of the project, and it’s amazing to see how much confidence they’ve developed in the kitchen already!

The next round of this FREE program starts in January 2026 β€” send applications and any questions through to Jack Moloney: jack.moloney@cbsinc.org.au

🚲 Whyalla Choices – Road Safety Fun! 🚦
Today our group had an awesome time visiting the local Road Safety Centre – combining a bit of exercise with a whole lot of fun! πŸ™Œ
Everyone got involved, jumping on bikes and trikes and riding around the track with big smiles and loads of energy. A special shout-out to Jared, who rode a trike for the very first time – he did an amazing job, and we were all super proud of him! πŸ‘πŸŒŸ
We also practiced important road safety skills, including:
πŸ›‘ Staying on the left side of the road
🚦 Waiting at the traffic lights
β†ͺ️ Giving way at roundabouts
After all that riding, we enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch together and by the end of the day were well and truly exhausted!
We’re already looking forward to heading back soon with our friends from Port Augusta! πŸ‘«πŸ’¬
